Random Raves 3 Happiness and Joy!

I don't know whether or not this is a rant or a rave, but here goes!

You know what is amazing? I've learned a little bit of music theory every year since fifth grade through orchestra and band. None of it ever really made much sense to me, as all of my past music teachers would attest. It's been, what? About a month since college started...and for whatever crazy reason I signed up for music theory because I'm a masochist, I guess, and I haven't gotten less than a 100% on any of the quizzes. 100s in theory, singing, and ear training.

WHERE WAS THIS DURING HIGH SCHOOL WHEN I WAS FAILING EVERY BAND EXAM!?!

I mean, don't get me wrong; I love that everything is finally clicking and making sense but why now?! Why not four years ago?

Play any interval on the piano and within three seconds I can tell you what kind of interval you played. I can read in treble, bass, alto, and tenor clefs and write key signatures for all of them. I actually KNOW my key signatures. The circle of fifths finally makes sense. It's not the circle of insanity anymore. (Yes, I called it the circle of insanity) I could go on and on, but no one really gives a hoot and I just don't understand what's so different now. It's like after eight years someone flipped the switch.

Oh man, I can think of two past music teachers off the bat who would be amazed to see that I've finally got it.
 
I love silly little things like dog biscuits from the bank teller when you go through the bank drive-through with your dog in the car.

I also love my dog. And my other dog.

Dogs are awesome.
 
Argghhhh...I have tons of homework...but it's interesting homework, I suppose.

I'm really doing well in piano, nowadays :love: !

I accidentally forgot to add a pirate patch and goatee to my avatar, so I shall make my pirate day tomorrow :)!
 
:D My friend hurt himself and now he needs crutches. Which means he gets an elevator key. Which means I get a copy of the elevator key. Always have to look on the bright side :)

I don't think I'll ever actually use the elevator but it will be cool to know I can.
 
Tonight was game night at church and after a couple volleyball matches with fussy kids everyone got tired and left so Elder and I went for a one on one match and I was totally owning him, but then other people decided to come back and my side lost...so next game night Elder is most definately going down and I shall be victorious. :yup:

We ended up staying two hours later. Oh man, it was so much fun.

BTW the guy in the first picture attacking him, is the same guy getting disemboweled in the second picture. Now that's hardcore.
 
I got STALKER Clear Sky and it rules. Much better than SHOC. The Witcher Extended Edition is out as well.

And then I find out Civ4: Colonisation is getting released on Tuesday.
 
My middle finger is healing!!!!!! :dance: All the blood from between my nail and my finger came off, now it looks almost normal! It will take a couple of weeks for my nail to heal (they had to do some horrible things to it at the hospital, see random rants for that :p) but the finger stopped aching, I can touch it on any side without almost any exaggerated pain... which means that probably in a week or so I'll start practicing guitar again, and I'll be in time for my next concert in Morocco in late October, that I was really afraid I will miss. :D

On an unrelated note, my pneumonia and mysterious cough have gone away... I'm starting to become my former, healthy self again. :D :D

Oh and I love Romanian girls, in general, :p they are awesomely good looking and it's so good just to go to random populated places and talk to people, it seems my old general good mood and optimism makes people around me really talkative and nice. :D

;) Just kidding. I don't really give a damn about stuff like that. Even if you're technically a Shaivite, you grow up thinking that Shiva is a total loser for giving boons to demons.
 
ohh...man I feel so good right now. Due to time constraints in the morning and my personal unwillingness to take a shower before bed and not one in the morning, my daily shower has been a quick rinse, some soap, a bit of shampoo, and rushing out. So today, I spent roughly half an hour in the shower, soaking....ohhh man it felt so good. Now I feel like I can accomplishe anything today.

I'm an atheist. I'm not sure if my family is Vaishnavite or Shaviate or whatever. My knowledge of Hinduism is limited.
