I would like to announce a monumental life milestone

I have ordered new bedsheets and a new duvet!! (Even though they were not in the same set)

Finally this project will be complete! After many years of confusion the stars have finally aligned and I have put in my order. If amazon is to be believed, by Friday I will be sleeping under completely new digs.

I might also need a duvet cover. The duvet I ordered is white, that's the only one that had free shipping. The grey one that I would have bought instead was charging $58 for shipping.... So I bought the white one. People in the reviews were saying that you don't need a cover, but I very well might.. We'll see when the packages arrive and I try all this out

You could always throw it in a mud puddle several times, enough that washing it won't make it white again.

Of course that means you'll have to wait until spring, when mud season arrives (I assume that occurs in Ontario as it does here...).

Yesterday was bedsheet washing and installation day. I uninstalled all the existing bedsheets, threw the old ones in the laundry, and completely deconstructed all the weird things that were going on there. Turns out there were more sheets there than I thought. The memory foam was wrapped in something that needed washing, as did the thing the whole mattress was wrapped in. I washed all those, as well as the new sheets, and set it all up.

And.. The new sheets are PERFECT! The old ones did not fully wrap around the mattress, it was too thick. So I needed to use these snappy things that keep everything in place. Not so with these new sheets! They fit around everything perfectly! I LOVE my new duvet too, it's so warm and so thin! Lying under it it feels like there isn't enough there to keep you warm, but it sure does. Plus it's all super comfy

Not to mention that I LOVE and I think finally understand the "stupid" topsheets. Or whatever they're called. I slept under one last night and it was awesome. Definitely would not want to sleep directly under that super nice and clean new duvet. I might get a cover for it still but i'm not 100% sure yet
