Not bad at all!

How are you doing the German? Self-teaching, coursework, or something else?

Teaching myself, I joined the German Club here at SIUC last week. If I have empty semesters of three/two/one class(es) because of scheduling I'll take a German class as a filler.

Further rave: I'm learning the R programming language/statistical package. It is awesome.

Want to learn a different language?

:mischief:

I've decided to double-major in my original major of Finance, and now Business Economics. It should only be an extra semester of classes, but at maximum another year. I do not think that is bad for a second Bachelor's Degree.

If I need to reach full time, or since I will probably be bored the last semester or two, I can always take a German class.

:)
German is awesome, since they use the expression "alter Schweden".

In and out of Men's Warehouse in an hour. I figured going to the Wall Street location would be easier on a Saturday than the one at the Atlantic Mall.

And I have an interview Thursday. Looks like another financial sales position (pitching insurance, annuities, mutual funds, etc.), but if nothing else, at least it'll show me more of what to expect at these interviews. Would rather do some kind of financial analysis or maybe even investment banking in the future, but I know I'm not qualified for such things as of yet.

I was at an art show today, looking at art 'n stuff, when i saw my state representative, Bob Pritchard. So, me, being the political junkie I am, go over and start talking to me. The converstation leans over to me, and my personal life. It turns, out he knows who I am, but didn't know it was me. (Did that make sense?)(I won a geography competition at my school). We disuss some really great colleges, and he thinks I should go into politics, and goes so far as to invite me to shadow him and be a page. Can you believe that? Some of you might think that's kind of nerdy, but I'm a nerd (ish-I have friends/not a loner). :woohoo: His Site

Moderator Action: Merged into Random Raves, since that's what it is. And the above post, if left in it's original thread, isn't a discussion thread.

Watching Alice In Wonderland for the first time in your life, with 9 of your friends, while you are all high on "Mary Jane".

I love it how cool people say they like me hair. I don't even spend any time on it, and they still like it. So the joke's on them.

I have to say, the more things I hear about things Barry Goldwater did or said, the more I like the guy!

Either I'm moving to a dark side or I'm gaining wisdom in my old age. :old:

Everyone seems to think so highly of me lately :)

They have no idea who they're dealing with

Closing in on another 1000 :)

Done! :smug:

One more interview Monday evening. It seems I'm getting more nibbles in New York than elsewhere, so the chance of my staying here after the spring has gone up. A big part of me is disappointed in that, since I had my sights set on actually being able to see my girlfriend daily, but she's right. It won't do that much good if I have to wait it out and lose time and money.
