I gotta love whomever is typing out the closed captioning. Had one of the cable news channels on mute, just keeping it on to watch headlines, when an Associate Editor was introduced in the closed captioning as "a Soviet editor."

It's official...I now have an A level in Thinking Skills and put no effort into learning any material. I didn't take any classes either. Having very high marks makes it an added bonus. I didn't realize you could be in the top percent of test takers worldwide when you haven't a clue what's on the test before sitting down to it.

For some reason, my girlfriend has the complete faith in me that I am able to write a book. On what and why I would do so are things I don't know. But it is comforting to know that my writing isn't complete and utter garbage to at least one person!

(Then again, maybe she was just impressed with the 78 footnotes I shoved into a 21-page paper on Iran's role in the Great Game.)


Then again (err...again), she's also seriously said I should run for an office. Maybe she's just bonkers.

My girlfriend's family finally got a new house, before their six months to evacuate their Mike Parrish-owned contract for deed place went through. And they will no longer be in some tiny town in Nowhere, Minnesota anymore!

And my mother has an appointment to view apartments in Greensboro this Saturday, after my parents were told that their lease would not be renewed after March.

Perhaps I will have a fairly easy time picking out a new place for myself after I graduate this spring.

My social life is improving at an amazing pace. And I've never really been a geek or nerd, yet now it is so much better than before. I have no idea why, but it feels great.

Oglethorpe University is flying me up to Atlanta free of charge for a weekend of sightseeing and seminars. I may even score myself a full ride. I leave tomorrow.
