I ask Babs to remove their unit but the comply...Bodo is a huge flip risk, so I remove our units

IT Zulu land an archer outside of Odense that is only defended by a warrior

5. Babs join in the war against us, :eek: we are at the receiving end of a dogpile. on a positive note, we defend with warrior against sword
defeat a few Babs units

6 Zulu wants to talk and lucky they got no mono nor engineering
trade feudalism for eng + mono and peace, they were about to sack Bingol

8. we can now get invention for all our economy from Rome

10 as mentioned before we could get invention, I recommend to do that, but I wanted for the next player to deal so can do sth with it

I may have an idea... (see some of Scoutsout's posts for why this is not good)

Let's build the navy (5-10 boats or more), fill 'em with zerks and go pillage the world, not even attmepting to keep juicy cities. If we clear some turf, get some alliances the AI will go crazy sending settler pairs to fill in. If they fill where we don't want them, zerk 'em again (size one cities should be easy until the muskets show up) In the meantime, we build our empire, planting settlers where we want them not worrying about flips. visions of similtaneous landings on Osman's shoes. For discussion only at this time. Be advised of my title.

Did a test on turn 10, turned off our research, offered Persia 64gpt to see how much money they would give for it, 186gold, thats it, something has happened to make our reputation bad. :eek:

Education in 15turns with a small gain, can increase after we get a little more money

Well I played the same set of turns, more peacefully. I have 9 zerks and a settler in position to attack Mpondo. Was planning on hitting the zulu first to get muskets. Babs and Persia are in the IA!

then declare and attack Mpondo, get GA, lose a zerk, but burn town
education now in 5

1.
Found Karasjok in the north, Tromso in the south

2.
go for Ulundi, lose 2 zerks and raze town

It lose the zerk at zulu land, they land 3 units next to tromso

3. we defeat those 3 units, well still with this rate I don't know how long we can sustain a war

IT Zulu would talk, but not give up a tech, we get edu next turn, so wait

4. take Umtata in the South
we could now trade edu for gunpowder

IT lose a pike at Umtata

5 defeat 5 units at Tromso and Umtata, I would like to get Tugela and then sign peace

IT China declares Zulu

6 Found Vadso south of Trondheim

7 attack Tugela and off 2 units next to Tromso

IT now Ottoman join in and declare on Zulu

8 Zulu knows education, there it goes
Take Tugela and sign peace, get gunpowder for 50g

I try to reorganise and send 2 stack to each side of the Ottoman empire

10 we get astronomy in 8 turns
Rome and Zulu do not have this tech, if we are lucky we can pull off a 2fer or so

next player can make judgement whether to attack Ottoman, or maybe even Rome?
there are Ottoman units running around in our territory after they declared war on Zulu
 
Can someone please attach the save - I'm not seeing the hyperlink. I think it has something to do with my antiviral program, but can't figure out how to reverse it once it's set in for the saves for a game - all of them after that one never show up. So if everyone can attach the saves for the rest of this game I'd appreciate it. thanx.
