How long should the wings be in comparison to the mast's length?

Very well, most trouble solved, for now. Tomorrow, I'm gonna try a few things. :)

Thanks. I've downloaded it for now. I might have to rescale the props and weaponry to fit the new body.

I might have accidentally changed the scale of the figure importing it to blender. (Stating the obvious) It will probably need to be scaled down to match the ratha anyway.

Did you do the usual 'scale by ten' that Blender has as a default?

Nah. I know how to do scale ;)

I have the .obj file anyway from Kinboat's thread.
I've recently found an old pendrive and, surprise, surprise... I've found some loot.
Bubble Bobble Nostalgie!
Indiana Jones and Lost Atlantis
Chips
Heretic
an old version of FLICster
Titus the Fox
My early Slinger conversion, 4 years old
My Starcraft user and save files!
Titus the Fox, Titus Prehistorik
Street Rods 2
An old Blender model... my old war elephant!!!!!!!!!! Yayness and rejoice! Stupendiferous jubilation!!
A program that lets you split files and put them together again. Useful when memory sticks were small.
I need to put that all to use in order.

STREET ROD ! ! ! !:clap: I use to love that game. Haven't seen it in years. Haven't played it since I had one of these :badcomp::badcomp:

Get DOSbox, it supposedly runs. Haven't tested it on this computer yet.

Anyway, whaddya think of the model so far[size=1t[/size]?

The new paperdoll guy is so thin... I've been scaling things down to his size. :)

:goodjob: If the whole model is proportioned to the paperdoll then when it is scaled to work well with other units it will still look in proper proportions.

So, I'm back from the big blue room. Actually, it's turned to grey and water's falling down :)
Hmmm... scaled almost everything to paperdoll's measurements, the kilt is painted red for visibility:

I'm not sure about the bow and the length of the pahari. Are they all right? They don't feel alright, but perhaps it's an effect of the rendering.

  • The bow is fine as a shortbow for use in the ratha.* The arrows are far too short. The draw will go from his fist to his jaw-line.
  • The pahari is too short as well - the handle wouldn't make it all the way across his palm. It looks like it should be about twice the size it is now.
  • The grip/hand guards on the kattari are fine, but the blade needs to be at least double the length.

* It would be nice to have a long-bow (extending the current length down to his calf) for other potential units.

If the arrows are too short, then the quiver will have to be slung at the back, as they'll have to be approximately as long as the bloke's right arm.
