I was very surprised to see my old thread still on the first page, so I thought to myself I might as well post

So yeah, I'm considering coming back as an active member, hello everyone.
My name is Izipo and I've been addicted to computers for the past 27 years.
Noone's getting any younger, but I'm closer to 40 than I was when I first joined, happily married for the second time and trying to raise four kids.
Still a nurse, but I've moved higher up, now as a liaison officer for the Air Force Chief of Staff (the French one).

Hello everyone! Party can now start!

I'm 16 years old as of yesterday, born on January 13th(Friday the!), you can guess the year I first came here after a long stint on the HOI2 Paradox forums, on a whim that a forum game I'd encountered there named Realpolitik might work well on Civ. Well, it's been almost a year and Realpolitik England is still going in the civ4 Stories and Tales section I wandered into forum games through a recommendation from Cull, then a player in RP, and jumped into IOTs then and there. I've been buzzing around the genre ever since, offering radically different views each game.

Now, about me:

First off, my name is Kevin. I've been trying to write a book for the past, oh, six or seven years, and a lot of people tell me I'm an excellent writer. I try at any rate. I'm a homeschooler, and currently in a correspondence high school course, struggling to graduate by 2012. I'm a disciplined practitioner of the martial art Tae Kwon Do, and hoping to get my first Dan Black Belt this fall. I'm a huge - rabid? - fan of D&D(V3.5) and Hearts of Iron II Arsenal of Democracy. Also Batman Arkham Asylum, Batman Begins, and the soundtrack of The Dark Knight(but NOT the movie.) and an avid reader of fantasy and scifi. Specifically Lord of the Rings, Eragon, Riftwar and David Weber's Safehold series. I'm also a very liberal Agnostic(don't let the IOT6 political satire nation I'm running fool you!), highly sarcastic, loyal to my friends, convinced in the power of mind over matter and a positive attitude and a competent and enthusiastic Ballroom dancer. Also not really a fan of most of the male population of Earth, but I try to keep an open mind. HIGHLY intolerant of intolerance of any kind. Picked up the habit of signing my posts from the almighty TRP on Paradox, which was an account used by two Belgian friends to kickstart the idea of Realpolitik, so they each signed their posts so people knew who it was. I just carried it over for no discernible reason Don't have a picture of me on hand but I'll perhaps find one as time goes on. Anyway, anything else anyone wants to know about me?

Well done 17-year-old me, the very fact that three-and-a-half years later I am able to say this does suggest that you were talking out of an unusual orifice at the time.

but if any moderators are watching, what we really need is an 'Off-Topic' thread, like wot they 'ave in the Fall from Heaven subforum.

At the moment I live mostly in Warwickshire. And man, was I still going on about NIRAH at that point? Here is what NIRAH is, or would be, by the way - apparently it hadn't put out a press release since May 2007 and that comment was made in September so maybe it was already in trouble. In my heart I still hold out hope for the freshwater aquarium.

My position on the great Poland-In-Civ debate is currently Pro.

See now you youngsters, before Civ V came out this was all we had to complain about. You whippersnappers have it easy with your one unit per tile and your maritime city states, why back in my day etc. etc.

Hi Cath, nice to see you again.

First time around I was already divorced with two kids. But the pleasures of recomposed families gave me two others (my wife's, from a former union).
We now have 3 girls and a boy aged 10, 7, 4 and 6 respectively. Fun times, but in the evenings we are exhausted.
