Oh, then yes, I have it ON ! But I can't really see how the Japanese would have do anything military in the south of Spain at that point of time. Not that it's entirely impossible, but it would be really weird.

Yeah, the tech to use a certain resource may be different to a tech that allows the improvement, though I am generally trying to avoid this to reduce confusion.

I was a bit confused at first, too. And I'm not quite sure it serves a purpose : we have many others ressources that can be connected and worked on a long time before they are useful (first one to come to my mind is gold/silver, who need a jeweler to be useful except for a few wonders that uses them). Is it to reduce the number of ressources one can have available for trading at a given point ?
