Realistic Corporations

Civic choices. If you look at the civics, certain ones give taxes, some subsidies. You can see how much you are earning from Corporations via the financial advisor.

Are there any besides Bourgeois and Proletariat? those are the only ones i could find with taxes and subsidies.

Yeah, look at the welfare and economy civics.

If there are civics that you think I should add modifiers to, feel free to give suggestions.

I had a fluke with this in the Classic Age where access to Iron and Horses gave me the Blacksmith and Equestrian Guilds.

Just to be sure, was this a fluke? I was obviously nowhere near researching Guilds yet.

Go to My Documents/My Games/Beyond the Sword and use text editor to go in Civilization.ini. Go down to Cheatcode line and change 0 to chipotle.
Then play again from where you saved your game and go to Technology screen. There you will see in the top left the drop-down menu for all other AI players. Click on it and check that no other AI had already researched Guilds. I'm relying on you because, assuming time here, you aren't color-blind so you can help us out here.

Reason: Afforess made it that only if Guilds had been researched by at least one AI player would any guild be founded and spread. If none of AI players had researched Guilds yet, please report here or at Beta Testing thread.

One player researching Guilds unlocks them for all players.
