Actually the people distrust the opposition MN. They know that you wanted to lock up the founder of our great religion. They know that you wanted to bring him in for questioning. They have no question of who is oppressive, and they know that i am not. I have already shown the plan to my advisors, and the people who support me agree that i should not release it to the public until a later date. They are tired of hearing about the arguements that the opposition causes, so they dont want me to create a reason for any more. I care what the people think. Thats why i am president, and you are not. My regime is oppresive? really? I have built granaries (and i still am) across the nation in cities which the Cull Adminstration ignored completely. Instead he chose to push people into workforces and stop the growth of our cities. Or he forced people into the defense of the cities they wanted to live in. They came to found those cities and live there, not join the archer corps to defend it.

So i have rather improved peoples lives and paid more attention to them than your adminstartion did. I would prefer it if you didnt sput any more lies.

OOC: I was actually about to post the final version on here. But since you chose the opportunity to try and demand that it is shown, i have decided not to. I believe that if you really wanted the plan itself, you would ask, not demand with a threat that the people wont see me as oppresive as i do. It is my opinion, that you are manipulating the people and using your small minority among them to try and sow dissent in my ranks and make me look bad, scarring the legacy of my presidencxy. Good luck with that, since its not gonna happen.
 
Who can tell me how to take screenshots? Its F11 on HOI2 but it appears not to be on here...unless im looking for the screenshot in the wrong file?

But i just finished making the essential changes to my map and i think its going to be a fun realpoltitk. As soon as i figure out how to take screenshots, ill start the thread.

I take screen shots with the "print screen" button, and the screens appear in My Games > Beyond the Sword > Screen Shots.

First: What's so bad about bringing in Ravus for questioning? For goodness sakes, it's asking questions. The English do not mind us asking Ravus questions. They also want to know the real story.

Arya, if I wanted to demand, I would have used the word "demand". What is wrong with simply posting the plan on the forum so we can all read and comment on it? Even Whosit is getting desperate, so get over your annoyance and just post the plan. :rolleyes:

EDIT: You, arya, are in no position to complain about how Cull created workers. He didn't whip workers. He created them. On the other hand, A CERTAIN ADMINISTRATION decided to implement slavery and killed people for a library.
 
Financially we do binary research. This (as Whosit tells me) lets us do 7 turns at 100% gold, then 10 at 100% research. That will get us through our 15 turns researching metal casting so there is no need to worry about Teching in this plan. A new one can be drafted by the new president should our coalition be re-elected.

Build plans vary by city. In london, we should finsih the swordsmen, build a temple, and build a galley, then another 2 swordsmen. Whip if it reaches 8 POP.

In Ravus york, it gets tricky. If we listen to whosit we will need at least one more settler from here, maybe 2. I will plan as if we need one settler. The builds will go worker-settler-worker-temple-worker-monastary-worker-missionary. Whip if it reaches the happy limit.

The cities in iberia should focus on military and infra. Both should finish whatever they are working on, and start on a granary. If they finish it in our adminstartion, either start on an archer, or an axeman. Whip if they reach 6 POP (unlikely), and on the granary if they reach 4 POP. BUT ONLY WHIP IT FOR 2 POP MAX. Use max overflow if possible.

Nottingham should switch to a granary. Whip for 2 POP and max overfolw if it reaches 4 POP in the turnset.

Liverpool is a mystery. I dont know what it started after the archer. I dont know if it has a granary. If it has a granary, then it should build spearmen-axemen-worker-galley. Whip if reaches the happy limit.

Diplomacy is hard. OB should be pursued with everyone. Egypt and shaka should be pursued as friends. try some trades if they seem fair enough and we have either no use for the resource at the moment, or have 2 or more.

I also want to send a galley and a unit to scandinavia to find out what we can. We dont know its resources. We dont know the vikings borders. We dont know the landscape. We need to find oout if we can spare the units. Send the first galley that we build from london to do it. If we have a psare swordsmen, send it with it to scout the land itself.

The current settler will settle in bewteen the sliver and gold on the forested hill. The second settler that we plan to produce from Ravus, shall go on the hill directly east of the mountain in eastern spain. It will have access to both fish and clams. Both will start on a granary-archer build.

Workers will be divided bewteen iberia, frnace, and the low countries. Iberia will focus on the important resources. Then it will shift to mines. France will have a ficus on cottages with a farem here and there. (as an explantion to cutting down a forest in france, since i know Whosit mentioned it earlier and i didnt respond to it, i thought it would help speed along production. In my games i always cut down forests right away, or as soon as i can afford to, to get the boosts to productions. watermills can replace them later in the game for constant production, and hills are normally better. IF WE CAN SPARE A WORKER, BUILD A RAOD TO RAVUS-YORK FROM THE SPANISH CITIES.

We will burn Chinook. But instead of using the archer, keep it posted there watching the city. When the first swordsmen from london is ready, ship it down to chinook. Then take it with good enough odds. If they are still bad odds, wait for a second swordsmen.


I think thats it. Ask if you dont understand something. Otherwise, thank you for not giving me another crisis. We have had 55 pages of me i think(about anyway). I want a chnage. A crisis would prolonge it.

Nobody died when the library was built. But i think that the morality of this so called slavery was banned from discussion if i remember correctly? So i will refrain from further commenting on it.

Thanks for the screenshots thing. Im adding a few balance tweaks right now in a test game on the map as england. From russia's progress, i think i might have overdone the obstacle i put in there for my realpolitik, but oh well.

Whats so wrong about questioning, is that people have the right not to tell the government whatever the hell they want to know. Freedom of speech, or in this case, freedom of lack of speech. Right to remain silent would also apply. But what is so important? Ravus has already told the english people what happened. But he did it of his own free will. I am against the government questioning people, when there is no crime.

I agree with most of it, other than:

  • The multiple whips
  • Focus on mil part (of course :p)

I particularly like your decision to binary science, to build cottages, and to hook up the resources.
 
Good thing smashing those barbarians in Chinook with a swordsman. How dare they blight the face of English Europe with their presence? :lol:
 
Well, the concern is: Can we get a swordsman there fast enough without Rome grabbing it?

Even if Rome grabs it, its going to get razed if its still a size 1 city so w could just place a settler down there.
 
Yeah i think we can get a swordsmen there by the time it grows. I dont think rome will grab it anyway. If it looks like its about to, and its size 2, we attempt an attack with the archer.
 
At the price of halting a city, which I think you think is really bad, in comparsion to a new city, and two new workers is well worth it IMO. And it won't be 50 turns, probably closerer to 20 or 30.

Agree with the plan. Disagree with the statement that I was more oppressive, but meh, won't bother argueing it now. Basically something alone the lines of that we needed those archers to protect the cities, and London was busy pumping settlers, and workers, which you agreed to during the time I believe.
 
Yes, but lets not get into that debate. Its getting old. lets wait for it to make modern history books in, say, 1900's. Then we can start debates on our early history. If we survive that long.
 
Binary research is indeed technically better, but some part of me prefers keeping a little nest egg of gold for those sneaky events and upgrade costs. It's just a personal opinion.

Sounds like a good plan. I'd also recomend sending the now useless warrior from london over to scout as much land as possible in eastern europe. Good job on setting up Ravus York to be our monk builder! :p

You are certainly tempting people to stay in slavery with all the graneries being built.

Have you made a decision on the religious civics?

Also do you have a choice for anything to research after metal working?

@MathNerd And i'm allways here to answer questions on my little ruthless action against the buddists. Just without the authority of the government their is no unspoken obligation or threat of punishment. You could allways ask me to come in if you get elected next term :D

EDIT: Yeah Cull's term ended in the 60's so by the time Ayra's finishes his term will have lasted the same amount of pages as all 3 of the first presidents :p and with the empire growing and events starting to happen more i worry it's only going to get worse

The POP is 6, and it probably wont even be 20 with the whip i hope LH will use. More likely, 10. Plus, we need the workers and settler.
 
Its not whoring when we NEED it. The workers are critcal to us right now, and the settler is going to be built, and its just a matter of where. London is the best city for that, and the time is now.
 
We can send the settler to Iberia after we raze Chinook.
