I will once some things I'm doing settle down. I actually want to put some decent thought into it.

EDIT: And of course doing that is a good idea. Limited to how many units we can transfer per turn due to navy, which we possess very little is a great idea.

I agree with cull. Please dont spam. If you want to invite someone, use either visitor messages or PMs.

Well we can move two units per Galley right? And with Iberia's production capacity we could knock out a few Galleys very quickly. 3 Galleys allows 6 units per turn, so with only three galleys in two turns we have enough to take one city. Unless Hannibal's city in Morocco is ludicrously defended it's not going to require more than 12 units to capture/raze it.

Note that I'm not actually advocating that we do this. Merely that we consider it as an option for once we defeat Rome and stabilise our economy and infrastructure afterwards. Because once that's done if we want to expand further still our only real options will be Carthage, or Egypt and possibly Arabia. Our other borders are the Irish Mongols who we don't want to bother with and the mighty teching alliance of Vikingdom and Russia who we simply have no hope against.

EDIT: And should Russia decide to invade us, right now we don't stand a chance. They're too far ahead in tech. If we can survive long enough to get our Protective boosted longbows we might stand a chance but there's the very real possibility that with the Russian's superior numbers as well as tech Europe alone couldn't provide the raw manpower needed to hold them off/drive them back.

Actually at last check, russia and us were at equal power. At the end of my admin anyway. Since then both of us have probably gotten larger....i think we are about equal to russia, maybe a little smaller. Rome is our biggest worry. They have pushed russia out of the ukraine in the last message we have gotten from their front. They are much more powerful than us. I dont understand why you think the war is basicly over, nor why you think russia is the bigegr threat at the moment. They arent even the ones we are at war with.

Because Rome is in a 3-1, and while their new offensive is worrying, it should mean less troops on our front. *cue Roman Rifles* DANG!

And two-movers and drafted stuff is beast.

I wonder, should we perhaps be beelining rifling ourselves? Protective-Charismatic Redcoats could solve an awful lot of problems.

That was what I trying to get after we get Gunpowder, which is after guilds, which is after....

Its just so far away ATM

We're see. Suppose by then we want universities before rifles.

Its good to plan, but sometimes, esp. here planning too far ahead doesn't do you any good.

Good point. This is hardly a regular game. Any long term plan we make is probably going to go tits up pretty quick. Especially with arya and Batm... Captain Athers running around.

Guys we are 8 posts away from 5000!

Okay to make this less spammy, i think rifling is a good overall target, but we cant beeline it. There are just too many other techs that we need, that would make so much more sense. Unless, we get plunged into another war, we should not beeline rifling. Muskets should be good enough once we get gunpowder. Knights/longbowmen combo before that.

Personally, Drafted Protective Charamstic Muskets with the power of the two-moving knights should suffice until we see rifles/curraisers from our enemies. Which by then we should be close enough so it doesn't matte much.

I agree with this statement.

This is annoying.

Basically me and Arya agree on this subject, and you go of and say only agreeing to Arya, while at the same time, seemingly disagreeing with me while in truth me and Arya both agree on the subject.

Mistake, or plot?

Umm, Cull. While I'm not going to argue that Arya does a hell of a lot of plotting, I think you're just being paranoid on this one.

:p :p :p

Not everything is at it seems. There is a layer beneath a layer beneath a layer here, of lies and deceit, of backstabbing and secret ties. I am not exaggerating. For all I know, it could be MathNerd recently who contacted CaesarPlayer, during the time he was on yesterday or around then, to sow the feeling that I was paranoid, or Arya, or anyone and anybody. Shadow plays are everywhere, and if you're going to become a political leader you gotta learn to recognize and adapt and see these plays and make your own.

And 5000th post.

My first milestone on Realpoltik.
