Couple things. First, yes you are right, slaves aren't citizens. But they're humans nonetheless.

They are in that world. We are disconnected from the one we are being politicians for because its electronic and we are not.

Good job! You gave up on infighting before you got put in a really awkward position about it. Also, if you're sick of this thread, feel free to leave. Maybe someone reasonable (cough, cough, Whosit, that's you, cough, cough) would take office.
You know MN, arya, if you're going to have long drawn out debates that accomplish nothing, at least take it to PM or VM; it's extremely annoying to read 4 pages looking for something relevant and then see that its nothing but long drawn out debates that accomplish nothing. At this point, let's just assume that both sides have dug in, and that there's nothing that we can do to make them feel differently. Ok?

I agree. ANY further mention on infighting shall be met with repercussions. I'm a tad more lenient on slavery as it has in-game applications - but keep the discussion OOC. If I see any more arguments on the legalities of slavery there WILL be repercussions. Do not mess with me.

Actually, this is only half true. He asked me to join this, I agreed, to be nice and because realpolitik is fun, I then asked him nicely to join IOT and help me out, and he agreed.
