OOC: No, Sweden......and if Finland is being crushed, i don't think EDL would do nothing.... And the same happened in Bulgaria, EDL accepted the admission, but USSR invaded, and the rest of EDl did nothing....

The Nationalist Republic of Spain would like to announce that it will be temporarily withdrawing from foreign affairs in order to rebuild our nation. We will still remain in the EDL and will participate in its joint activities when called to do so, but we shall not undertake any current foreign policy under our own authority, at least for the time being.

EQ was banned again, this is what he said " i've been banned because i expressed my freedom of speech which insulted the people of foriegn nations in some way". He said he will still send orders by PM.

WAR IN FINLAND! The second Finnish war comes into full swing as the two armies clash for the first time. The Russians are able to make the good spring weather to their advantage. Tanks, planes and trucks all work perfectly as the Russians begin their fighting against the Finn defenders. Finland quickly ensembles 215,000 modern infantry to defend their homeland. This still isnt enough to even match the Russian invasion force. After a decisive battle at Joensuu, the Finns resorted to guerilla warfare. This has proved effective against the Russian army, as they advance much slower then expected to protect their supply lines. The Russians have advanced all the way to Varkaus in the north. The Russians have made complete air superiority with the use of massive amounts of YAKs and MIGs. The Russians are able to quickly replace their losses, the same cant be said of Finland.
RUSSIANS: -35,000 Conscripts, -10,000 Modern Infantry, -30 YAKs
FINLAND: -60,000 Modern Infantry, -60 Spitfires
SECOND FRONT! The soviet army decides to smash through the now defenseless Ladoga line. As the Finns send all their troops to fight in Karelia, the Russians send 3 new mechanized divisions to capture the area. The divisions have done just that and joined up with the northern force. The entire Lake is now in Russian hands.
REINFORCEMENTS! Swedish volunteers have arrived in Finland to aid the Finns in their defense. These volunteers have done little to stop the Russians however. Only direct Swedish intervention may stop the Russians.
FINLAND: +25,000 partisans, +6500 Modern Infantry, +50 spitfires
SEA BATTLE! The Finnish navy attempted to blockade Leningrad only to gets their butts handed to them. The tiny navy was completely destroyed by the Russian air power and submarines. The only Finnish battleship, the Helsinki went down after 23 minutes of YAK attack.
FINLAND: -1 Battleship, -6 Frigates
RUSSIA: -15 YAKs.
ALBANIA DECLARES INDEPENDENCE! The Albanians have launched a secret rebellion to regain their independence. Many military commanders demand that forces be sent to destroy the rebellion in such a strategic area. The general populous though disagrees to an imperialistic action. It is unsure what the communist part will do. If nothing is done soon, Albania will be too hot to handle.
SWEDEN PREPARES! Sweden continues to strengthen its military in preparation for an invasion. Sweden continues to mainly worry about its Baltic islands. Some strategists ask the government to put Anti aircraft batteries and anti ship guns on the islands. This would cost 12 WC though.
NATO! The EDL and TATO has joined together into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. NATO is a full alliance led by the United States. This alliance has brought America fully into European affairs.
NPA DISBANDS FORCES! The NPA has disbanded much of its obsolete weaponry for funds. This has been put towards the space race and a modern military.
SPACE RACE! The newly formed NATO send up its own satellite, Finklewink. This is a joint British-American adventure. Many critics say the space race will be a new addition to the cold war. The NPA has also gotten into space. The entire NPA as a whole comes together and builds a launch pad near Rome. The Satellite Caesar marks the 3rd to do so.
NUCLEAR ARMS! NATO bolsters its nuclear reserves as the UK builds an Atomic Bomb and the USA builds a Hydrogen Bomb. The USSR meanwhile is unable to build up its nuclear arms and continues to fall behind in the nuclear arms race.
SPAIN REBUILDS! As the external forces leave Spain, the nations begin to rebuild their militaries and economies.
BERLIN GROWS! The polish continue to rebuild the ruins of Berlin. Contractors, architects and engineers from across Germany and Poland have begun rebuilding the city. Already half of it is liveable again and the radiation has dissipated. Thousands have already filled the new city.
VACATION! The leaders of many countries go on vacation and leave Italy in control. O_o. Portugal however leaves it up to an NPC

-Change Spain's national flag from red-yellow-purple to more traditional red-yellow-red.
-Begin the full integration of Republican and Nationalist military units and bases, gov't. dept's. and posts, economic infrastructure, etc.
OOC: I'm guessing that I'll have to wait for the update before I actually get to use the RoS's assets (WC) and military, right?
