This Project started out as gathering information for myself, but then Grey Fox posted an amazing PDF, so I decided to compile everything nice and neat for his use. Since he hasn't been on for a while, I have started to attempt to make my own work look a bit nicer as I go along.

I include both the PDF and the Excel file that I am building it with. This way you are free to re-arrange and otherwise use the data as you wish to. I try to keep myself consistent with my delimination in each column so that it can easily be parsed back out into individual elements, but since nothing will align properly it is best to start from scratch probably if that is your goal.

Revisions:
--Changed the Boar Rider from 6/5 to flat 5 in anticipation of Patch H. (Later note: Found that Withdraw was changed from 35% to 25% as well)
--Replaced Generic "Upgrades To" blocks with UU where appropriate.
--Fixed names of Great Sage & Great Bard
--Made some Graphical Improvements. (Icons for Units and Civs, plus a Header/Footer for Units section)
--Added Buildings and compressed/normalized the row sizes to match up with the Icons.
--Redid Civilization Page to print normal instead of Landscape, added Trait Information to fill the White Space
--Minor Tweaks and Revisions in the Units section.
--Added a Coverpage & Icons for Leader Traits (these ones of my own choosing, since there normally aren't any)

FfH 2.30h Reference Charts.

Future works for this (all pending free-time, or need to procrastinate):

--Promotions & Tree
--Lightbulbing Order for GP
--Links in PDF Form between reference and item entry

--Possibly Spells, but probably not

Spoiler Just keeping these threads marked for later review :

Self Bumping again (have I really made so few mistakes?), Wanted to let anyone who has downloaded the file and found it useful know that I "made it pretty," so if you care to have a picture of each unit and whatnot, you can re-download it.

Does anyone use the Excel I am attaching? If not I can ditch that to cut down drastically on the file-size. Might make it less painful for those on Dial-up, because it is a bit large now.

I prefer the view in Excel to the pdf but no need to include it on my behalf.

Downloading the pretty version now.

I will start using this Excel... although I'm a little confounded why so many civs can't build this or that. It seems to be overcomplicating things. For example in the bug thread I asked about not being able to build libraries, and you said that two civs could not build them. So as I am navigating through the tech tree, I have no information within the game that warns me of this limitation? I spend several turns researching writing so I can have libraries, then realize it was a waste or best to research as a lower priority.

Also, limiting buildings such as libraries, which are the backbone of research at some point (and the option to build the powerful Great Library!) does not seem right to me.

Beyond referring back and forth to this complicated chart, how is one supposed to get a feel for any one civ while playing the game and going through the tech tree? Ideally the game would be set up so that if I am playing as a civ that is not able to build certain things, those would be grayed out on the tech tree during the game. And the Civilopedia must really highlight these differences, otherwise how else to prepare a game?

thoughts? what am I missing here....

Well, you have to think thematically for now, because documentation has been put on the back burner. There are quite a few things that ARE documented which are no longer true (and once they did document quite fancily in game View attachment 168591 for example). In the case of the Barbarian Trait Civilizations, you should be focusing on military, they are MEANT to suffer in the tech race. But till you get an understanding of how each Civ feels... well you just have a lot of surprises :)

I started making these because so often people report things as bugs which are actually design features that are simply hard to understand, or not documented. Having worked on them for a while now, I can see WHY the game is not documented so far though. I DREAD the next major update, because I will essentially have to do all of the work I have done so far all over again, or run the incredibly large risk of missing something.

Overall though, the situation is largely compounded by the fact that the game is finally getting near to being complete, so there is the largest possible quantity of material within it. But feel free to ask around and we'll happily answer any questions that come up as you play. Till then... think of it as being in the initial exploratory phase of your Civilization still ;)

every time I get knee-deep into a game, I find out my civ can't do something major. the last time I found out the hard way that I was only allowed three cities! oh well, I guess I have to keep trying them all :)

thanks for clarifying.... documentation will be a godsend when it arrives. I really rely on the Civilopedia in the regular game. I see you did add a whole section with FFH game concepts - that stuff is really handy to have in there. For me now, the major thing missing is some general sense of what each civ is and can do (as you say, there are "barbarian" civs... but I didn't even get that sense in reading the Civilopedia entry for my current game)

keep up the great work... it sounds like the end is close at hand! I am willing to help but all I know how to do is edit. I'm not much of a writer, artist or coder.

You meaning the team of course :) I'm just doin this compilation on my own, I don't touch the in-game stuff too much yet. I'm also quite glad that they added that section into the Civlopedia.

amazing work, thx!

Your effort is much apreciated!
Good work.

Added pictures to the Team Credits section of the coverpage for people who have a Hero in the game. I know that Valin isn't named after Nikis-Knight, but he has used that as his Avatar since I came to the forums, so to me... it's him now :)

seZereth, could you list what the "job descriptions" of each team member are possibly? I'd love to make it into proper credits instead of just a list of who you guys are, but I don't want it to be partial/incorrect :)

I don't suppose you could add an expired column for units. I just started a game as the Balseraphs, and created a city for unit production where I built both the Freak Show, and the Arena -- and discovered I could not build Freaks. It appears that building the Arena blocks the production of Freaks.

Thanks. Took a bit of looking. I just toggled bNeverObsolete to 1, but I will need to redo that when I install the next patch.

I don't suppose modular loading will allow you to override specific unit definitions.
