Greetings fellow music lovers!

I recently stumbled across some very relaxing music and I cannot find the correct genre for them, here are some examples:

I was hoping someone could tell me the genre of these videos and hopefully you and other could recommend me other similar relaxing music. I prefer no lyrics.

Thanks ahead of time!

I found the first one first :mwaha:

The genre you're looking for is probably Easy Listening.

Easy Listening sounds about right.

Look up some Ehren Starks (google is better than youtube for him; the second link lets you listen to an entire album of his for free- warning: automatically plays when the page loads).

Some of Simon & Garfunkel can be classified as easy listening. Sound of Silence, for example. It's a little bit more groovy than Eluvium though.

Blah @ easy listening. Try "The Most Relaxing Classical Album in the World...Ever!" (various artists).

That anyone would apply "easy listening" to S&G makes me

(When I hear "easy listening" I think "boring crap," and S&G is definitely neither boring nor crap. But that's just me!)

Haven't tried the vids in the OP, will give em a shot later.

well, your perceptions of easy listening are off then.

Easy listening is relaxing, soft music and in this day and age much of S&G certainly applies

Nothing makes me more relaxed than this song(I normally prefer relaxing music without music, but this is a exception):

Air on a g string also works.

Try googling some Buddhist sutra / meditation, or remixes of such. Those tend to be relaxing.

Based on the first song you've posted I think you would definitely like Brian Eno. Try the "Music for Airports" album.

I'd say song #2 is part of the ambient/techno genre. You might like something like Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92 album
