Relive WWII

Aloha,

I may make some mistake because English is not my first language
I can sympathise with you, English is probably the most irregular language in the world ....

For the HS-219 the mistake is that is was Heinkel instead of Henschel HE-219
Are you sure? The He-219 was an excellent German night fighter, the HS-129 was an anti-tank close support aircraft. In the game the "HS-219" is designated as a bomber so this would suggest the HS-129 was the intended plane in question.

Okay, I like this mod a lot!
The problem is, without oil, you're screwed on an archipelago map which is what I play on. So now, there is an island right next to me, but I cant reach it because I wont be able to build boats to get there. Also I tried clicking on civilopedia for oil, the game crashed.

Aloha,

Mr. nag is back again ...

Before I start nagging - I love this scenario!!!!!

First things first: Where are the panthers ?????????
I can't build them and the PzIV upgrades directly to the tiger ...

  • small bit: could you adjust the government entries for the governments on military police
  • same thing with electricity
  • could the original civ3 panzer unit be used for the panzer III instead of the tank unit?
  • could the jagdtpanther be replaced with the Stug III since they bore the brunt anyway and the panthers were introduced quite a bit alter ...
  • what does the "reaction plane" stand for? If it refers to Vergeltungswaffen then reprisal would be suitable. What about Jet fighter program as an alternative.

Hi,
for alcosta15, I have upgrade the game, for the first boat that comes with combustion you won't need oil to do them
for baldurslayer, the government military police what you want us to update ? and I made a little change and you now should be able to do the panther and the tiger, for the reaction plane tech is not refering to the V missile, they were considerated like vertical take-off and the plane in the reaction plane do not goes up in the skies vertically

Thank you, I would also put a warning on the rubber and oil and steel entries.
They cause a CTD.

Here's a little update with some bug fix ... so thank you to help us fixing bugs

Hi Allein,

Your partner and you made an AWESOME scenario! This is truely enjoyable and I will probably be playing this for hours to come. I already referred this game to several members who also love it.

I did however come across some possible problems. When I tried to build the ELECTRIFICATION "palace" I get a message that says:

"Scenarios\...\scenarios\WWII\text\Pedialcons.txt.":WON_SPLASH_BLDG_
Palace. (The game will now exit)

The game then shuts down automatically. Can you fix this? And what is the benefit of this? There is no Civlopedia entry for ELECTRIFICATION or the Emperor's Statue. It just gives the definition for a Palace.

I have installed the current update as well. Oh There is also too many Hypet-Text Links for the definition of the SHEEP resource..it makes the game crash.

Thank you for the hard work you've put into this scenario. My friends and I appreciate it. I love the scenario as is...I just don't build the ELECTRIFICATION...but it would be cool if it was fixed.

Aloha,

I have to agree with CIVFOX on the electrification bug

Earlier I went on about Civlopedia entries, what I meant was in the government types entries like fascism it refers to the original max 4 military police units but in this scenario only two units can be used as military police. One other thing, the entry about electricity, it tells the player that one could irrigate without access to rivers, yet this progress is triggered by another advance further on some farming type tech.

Thank you for the changes! By the way are the two of you German or Russian speaking by any chance?

sorry for some bugs but I don't know how it's happen because when I play with my friend its works, because if you check the civilopedia for the building we have add texte for all new building .. but if you want check in your civedit and go in the improvements and wonders section and verify the civilopedia entry for the building if they don't have the right one its supose to have BLDG_ and the name of... electricity doesn't offer the technics to do irrigation it take farming method or agricultural technics... i don't know its my friend that did this part... as for your question : By the way are the two of you German or Russian speaking by any chance? I don't know why you say that ? but i would love to learn german

What is the purpose of bulding the ELECTRIFICATION building? What is the CivLopedia suppossed to say? Becasue if it is not important I will just play on without it. Although it is pretty funny to think my whole country will be using candlelight during the 1940's.

Aloha,

... I am not quite sure how to say this but I am still not able to build Panthers ... is there a special procedure involved? :(

I don't know why you say that ? but i would love to learn German

I thought I spotted some characteristics in some of the Civlopedia entries with predicate at the end and this is as far as I konw unique for Russians and Germans ... I guess your scenario made me suspect the "fifth column" to be around every street corner :crazyeye:

Drushba

P.S.: I just experienced the most massive tank battle I've ever seen on CIV3 ... ("Ob es stürmt oder schneit ... es braust unser Panzer im sturmwind dahin") Massive, massive battles great scenario!!!!!

Electrification gaves an happy face in all cities and generates one trade in each trade-producing tile in its city... for the panther just delete the upgrade to "tiger" of the panther and it should be ok

Aloha,

Great idea - this would create two groups of German tanks light/medium tanks (Panzer I, II, III, IV and Panther) and the heavy tanks (Tiger and Kingtiger). Three cheers for diversification! :)

May the dark clown be with y'all

From GULAG the other creator of this scenario: ''We've noticed this bug since the creation but we haven't been able to fix it; for such unknow reasons, even if this characteristics does not figure in the civedit file and the civilopedia file, the game continues to show that electricity gives irrigation without fresh water''
From me Allein : We are updating our scenario with more team like Poland, Spain, China... If you have any idea of what we could add just tell us we will do the best we can

isn't there a flag to click in the civedit thing in the technologly section that (dis)ables the irrigation without fresh water.

We have add 16 nations, + units and we are doing some map for our scenario
