More Peaceful Events of the World
Industrialization efforts in La Plata, Hungary and The Celtic Republic give promising results (+1 Eco center for those three nations)
The more open western trade that was introduced in China causes the Chinese economy to improve, even though an influx of western merchants has not arrived, the effects of the increase of trade is most seen in Formosa. (+Taipei eco center)
The Celtic Republic begins founding colonies in Africa. The westernmost one is attracting enough colonists to be profitable, the eastern one, which is closer to Zanzibar, is not doing so well.
Inquisition begins in La Plata, forced conversion is making life difficult in La Plata and many have already left for Portuguese Brazil, rather then face possible death penalty for not converting. The La Platan Inquisition also spreads across into the Incan Empire, which was the cause of a serious conflict. (See military events)
Bullfighting from Spain is introdued in Mexico, and after a while establishes itself among the populance. (+1 Culture for Mexico)
France begins the colonization of Papua New Guinea and with the promise of free land (Among other things) to whoever goes there is doing rather well in the effort.
Due to hastily run through reforms and the abolishment of serfdom, Russia is drawn into Civil War... (See military events)
Mongolia and Central Asian turkish majority areas are granted autonomy by the Chinese government. While this improves the administeration of those areas, it fails to achieve much else.
A Military Parade is held in Warsaw, only to be interrupted by the troops of Sweden-Germany, who moved across the Polish border unopposed. Even though no fighting took place, many Poles are sceptical of the intentions of the Swedo-German troops and fear a possible annexation.
Virginia attmepts to grow varying crops and to improve their income coming from the rural areas and it seems to be working +1 Economy.
The prospect of regaining all of Greece lures many Greeks into being recruted into the Roman army. (+5 Roman Infantry)
Less Peaceful Events of the World
The La Platan inquisition appers on the other side of the border, in the Incan Empire aswell. The conversion however in there was not forced. Everything whent suprisingly well, until the overzealous La Platan monks began tearing down Incan tempels and destroying idols, in essence defiling Incan holy sites. This caused a massive monk hunt in the Incan Empire, which eventually captured most of the La Platan monks, some still managing to escape. The opertion also foiled a sabotage attempt on the Incan port city of Piura and numerous assasination attempts on Incan officials. As more evidence of La Platan trechery began to uncover, the Incas could not sit idly by anylonger. This lead to a near immediate reprisal invasion of La Plata by the Incan Empire, which the Platineans managed to overcome mostly due to superior troops training as the numbers were on the Incan side.

The reforms put in place in Russia, most notably the abolishment of serfdom, caused nearly everyone in the nobility to revolt against the Russian throne, the revolters inclued some of the Romanov family itself as even most of them were against the decision. The Okhara was just being established at this time, so it could do only little. While the Tsar had deployed most of his forces elsewhere, the revolters managed to secure large areas from their temporary capital in the North. The peoples of the Baltic revolted aswell, rather then fight them, the Nobility signed a treaty of cooperation and alliance with them, guaranteeing their independence. The Tsar hastily redeployed his troops to defend what he had, and managed to prevent the Nobility from spreading into a too wide area.
(-10 Russian Infantry, -4 Russian Cavalry, -2 Noble Infantry, -6 Noble Conscripts, -1 Liethuanian Infantry)
The Southernmost Nobles (Ukraine) are being pestered by Ukrainian Cossacks, who, while not supporting the Tsar, do not like the Nobility one bit either.
(-1 Noble Infantry)
As Rome declares war on the Ottoman Empire, the Sultan does the unthinkable, he orders the unconditional surrender of the entire Ottoman Empire. Naturally the military doesn't tolerate such cowardice and place the Sultan under house arrest in Istanbul, ordering a conscriptation at the same time. Thus giving the military, temporary, control over the nation (Kentharu is still the player, even if the Sultan is under house arrest). The Romans immediately make a swift assault into Bosnia, where the Ottoman garrison of Sarajevo doesn't offer much resistance, however the attack from Greece runs into problems as it is met by a large Ottoman Contingent of troops, however the forces of General Guglielmo Pepe arriving from the North forces the Ottomans to redeploy themselves to defend more important areas and the city of Thessalonica.
(-7 Roman Infantry, -3 Roman Cavalry, -5 Ottoman Infantry, +30 Ottoman Conscripts, -8 Ottoman Conscripts, -1 Ottoman Cavalry, -1 Ottoman Artillery.)
The Ottomans launch an attack on the Roman colony of Cyrenaica (Libya), as most of the Roman fores are fighting elsewhere the colony's eastern areas are taken over without severe Ottoman casulties.
(-2 Ottoman Conscript Divisions)
The attempted Roman landing in Smyrna is met with the most resistance as the Ottomans have deployed numerous forces and most of their fleet there. The Ottoman fleet after a short skirmish pulls out to defend Istanbul, and the Roman landing begins. The Ottoman garrison easily puts down local Greek uprisings and prepares to fight the Romans. The landing, even though Roman numeriorical superiority runs into numerous problems with the deeply trenched in Ottoman defenders. Only after the Roan landing in Gallipoli does the Ottoman presence in the area weaken, allowing the Romans to break the Ottoman defence, advance and take over the city of Smyrna. Even though further advance is halted... The landing in Gallipoli, lead by the Ceasar himself, force the Ottomans to divide their forces, and after many days of fighting in the rough terrain manage to halt the Roman advance, even with the loss of Smyrna, the Ottomans have managed to prevent the capture of Istanbul, one of the most important goals set by Rome at the outset of the war.
(-6 Roman Infantry, -2 Roman Infantry, -3 Roman Ships, -5 Ottoman Ships, -8 Ottoman Conscripts, -2 Ottoman Infantry, -2 Ottoman Cavalry, -1 Ottoman Artillery)
Marathan agents manage to infiltrate the Portuguise colonies in India and in a daring raid, the Marathan army manages to takeover the colonies with only limited casulties and fighting. Naturally Portugal is outraged even with the assurance from Maratha that all Portuguise citizens are being treated fairly.
(-1 Portuguise Infantry, -1 Marathan Infantry)
After many accusations of piracy being sponsored by Japan are made by China, and numerous incidents in Japanese harbors being encountered by Chinese ships. China declares war on Japan, the meeting engagement that China attempted to lure the Japanese fleet into however doesn't work as Japan keeps her fleet close to the main islands, instead of sending them out to fight. Thus the plan for a complete embargo of Japan is postponed for later. Okinawa however is invaded by China with a crushingly overwhealming force. The local Japanese garrison and populance however (In most cases) fight till the death, commiting suicide instead of surrendering to the Chinese invaders. The resulting massacre in Okinawa doesn't make the war anymore popular back in China.
(-2 Japanese Infantry Divisions, -1 Chinese Infantry Division)
