Thanks for letting us know Sarge.
For short absences of a few turns, it's usually fine to queue up your orders in-game and we just let the timer run out each turn. For anything more than a few days though (or if at war), you would normally you would be expected to find a temporary player to play your turns while you're gone.
Since it's Christmas though, there'll probably be a few other players in the same situation and I am going to be out of town myself in fact, starting this Thursday for 11 days (and then again for a couple of days around New Year's, but I'll be back home in between very briefly to check in on things).
So I'd like to propose just increasing the timer before I leave (to 999 hours or similar) so that no-one is forced to miss their turns over the holiday period. Anyone who's going to be away that can find a sub to play for them to help keep things moving, please do.
BTW - Sarge, you might try asking da_Vinci if he'd sub for you? He subbed for oyzar previously (before you took over the civ), so he's already subbed for your civ before, and I know he's available.
