Request to Administrators: Separate Sub-Forums for Different Era's of Units

I realize this opens up a whole can of worms, since you could then have separate sub-forums for modpaks, mods, everything, but there seem to be a ton of units being created.

It would be nice to be able to glance at what is new in each era. It would also make it easier for scenario builders to cherry-pick the units available that suit the era of their scenario.

Suggestions:

Ancient
Medieval
19th Century
WWI
WWII
Cold War
Modern Day
Future/Fantasy

Hopefully people are putting their units into the database and that does have sub-categories. I'm not sure we need a sub-forum for units, but who knows.

That's an awful lot of subforums, but if you post the idea in Site Feedback, you'll get more feedback.

Agreed it is a huge amount of micromanagement, but given all the activity in this area, maybe worth it.
I will leave that for the admin to decide.

I think, personally, that the file database covers this fairly well.

I also agree that this isn't really needed. The file database should do a good job and it would clutter everything up with way too many sub-forums.

I do think, however, that we might need to do what the CivIII people did and find some volunteers to add some of the units for people who aren't around as much anymore. I can think of smitty as one person who isn't able (by time and computer access) to add his units at the moment. That would help if they were all in the database.
