Elections in the Viking republic were commencing, during the heat of a war.
"Its so stupid!" Prime Minister Canute growls in annoyance, "Ive been so busy dealing with the war that i havent had time to try and shore up support for my re-election, I am going to lose this election and changing leadership mid war is a BAD idea..."
Prime Minister Canute leaves his office and heads for the Senate chambers to hear the results.

The reason we have not automatically submitted vote for you is we are dissapointed you and China have used this war as a bargaining chip to expand territories ruled by your allies you would otherwise have to invade to occupy.
In that light what is to stop you from blackmailing us in a similar fashion?

Drums reverbated throughout Aboriginia... To a stranger it was just needless noise... but to the Aborigine's it meant war...
On the docks, massive Aboriginian warships were loaded with supplies, and the army of Aboriginia. Everything headed west, following the fastest, and safest routes towards the distant land of Egypt. The last efforts of colonization were beginning, as the remainder of New Zealand was set out to be colonized. But the new colonies would get little support from this great nation at war...
To Pacific Alliance, and Allies
Aboriginia will rise to the occasion of war. Even now our caravels sail for the distant land of Madagascar ((spelling?)). If you could prevent the navies of our enemy from harming us while we travel for our surprise attack, we would be greatly obliged. Land nearer to the conflict will allow us to aide our great allies easier.

Send navy (with army aboard) to Madagascar for a surprise attack against Egypt.
Colonize rest of New Zealand
Begin construction on a great library and university to continue to educate the people

Spain's invasion of Ireland successful, but progressing slowly! The Spainish navy had heavy causulties on the trip there and in fighting around Ireland. The English navy suffered as well. However with the arrival of a decent portion of the mighty Egyptian fleet, the Spainish were unable to continue resupplying and reinforcing their army on Ireland.
Germany drives into Rome! The German armies taking a brief counter offensive have routed the thinly spread Roman army and advanced into the Empire.
A conceil of lords and cardinals in the Catholic Church have decided with the division of the Church in the war the pope's job will now only be symbolic (pope can no longer give orders, so person is irrelevant, elections are over.)
With the end of the storms in the Pacific several colonies have made contact with their mother nations (look on world map)
With a devasting surpirse attack the Arab Confederation switch sides killing a good portion of the chineese in their territory and invading India. In response Chineese forces have occupied part of the Arab Confederation.
Largest battle ever in the Pacific in the middle of the Indian Ocean! The Pacific Alliance Forces Defeated the Alliance of the Nile navy and gain dominance in the Indian Ocean. They still control the Atlantic though.
Spainish colony falls to NHC forces! The Spainish army, spread thinner than even the Romans, was utterly defeated by the massive NHC army that poured over the border.
Roman southern colony falls to the Zulu! Soon after the fall of the colony the Zulu Empire began a rapid advance into the Spainish African colony. Also in Africa, the Egyptians have conquered all of the Roman northern colony with the exception of the great city of Carthage where the main Roman army awaits a seige. The Chineese African colony also fell to a combined assualt by the Zulu and Arabs.
NEC and Indian forces rout the English in Canada and have driven them almost all the way to the Atlantic.
Bloody Stalemate continues in Vikingland with neither side gaining much ground.
Aborigines successfully invade Madagasscar, thanks to naval supremecy.

The South America colony had been conquered but this was a dark cloud with a silver lining. No longer would the Navy be across the Atlantic but ready to deal with any invasion forces. The army was expanded to fight with the Africans. These new regiments would march toward the Zulu army. While militia raised in Africa would raid the Zulu troops but not fight directly. This would slow the Zulus down while the new troops would train and then march toward the then harassed enemy.
