Assyria - 8+1=9 With my beloved Babylon gone, I’m switching my vote to their neighbor and frenemy, Assyria. Mesopotamia is where it all began!
Ethiopia - 22-3=19 Sorry to downvote you, Aksum. We need more ancient and classical civs. Tough choices and all that. At least you’re in the Top 3.

    Maya - 32

I couldn't agree with you more.

Assyria - 6-3=3 Sorry Assyria, you've had a great run and I upvoted you many times, but at this point I would rather have the others take first and second and third is where I would have put you anyway.
    Ethiopia - 19
Maya - 32+1=33 Might as well start voting for the eventual winner, of which it should be.

Assyria - 3-3= 0 ELIMINATED. 3rd place for one of the greatest ancient Empires isn't bad, and I hope they return. But I have to vote someone off the island.
    Ethiopia - 19
Maya - 33+1=34 They are the CHAMPIONS my frieeeeee-eeends

Ethiopia - 17 (20-3) Edited. Correcting, because I just realized that SagarRathore's vote here was skipped.
    Maya - 35 (34+1)

It cuts my heart give downvotes to Ethiopia, but I agree that the Mayans should be the winners.

    Ethiopia - 14 (17 - 3)
    Maya - 36 (35 +1)

Not much else to add and no point in delaying it :p.

    Maya - 37 (36+1)

Second place is a fine showing for Ethiopia, and I think the Maya deserve this victory.

Ethiopia - 11+1=12 - I know it's pointless, but sincerely, I'm more interested in getting Ethiopia more than the Maya. Menelik II would make a great leader.
Maya - 37-3=34 - I accept their victory. I realise that they are a major empty place. And I definitely want them in game. I just want Ethiopia more :p

Before it ends: Anyone feel free to start a new elimination thread, this time with potential Civs that have never been in the game. It might require a preliminary thread to discuss the Civs to add :p.

I feel like its been done already, though maybe not since GS was released.
In the meantime it would be interesting to start one based off of the new civs added to this game and which ones we would like to see in future installments.

I'm thinking of creating a "Never before seen civs" elimination game as soon as this is over. I am using as a basis the researches done by Liufeng on each continent before the launch of GS. I think that those researches were quite complete.

Ethiopia 6 (9-3) - I think top 2 is way to good for them , should have downvoted them earlier.
Maya 36 (35+1) Clearly should have won and if there isnt 3rd expanssion, firaxis should release them as a DLC civ atleast.

We did kind of play that to death a while back. See here:

Never Before Seen Civs Elimination Game

The first post records all the results. We had numerous rounds because there were just so many options.

I wouldn't mind seeing a never before seen civs elimination game to see what people would like after Gathering Storm. It may be tricky though since there are so many potential civs you could list.

    Ethiopia 6 - 3 = 3 A very worthy 2nd place. Even if we only got 2 civs in a DLC these are the 2 I'd want.
    Maya 36 + 1 = 37 A very worthy 1st place.

If our top 8 were the civs we got in an XP3, I think I’d be content.

For a never-before-seen civs elimination game, I’d say to look at what people wanted the most in the first three rounds on the link I posted, and filter out the options that already made it in the game.
