Revolution #2

As previously stated (and not going to be repeated) I am unable to give a specific date this time for the update. The absolute earliest the update could be done is this coming Saturday. The latest will be the following Monday or Tuesday. It all depends when internet is hooked up in my new place.

C'mon y'all, lets have some Fun(j)!

Connecticut and Georgia do agree to the Cotton Accords of 1795, whereby Connecticut is given exclusive rights to all cotton grown in the state Georgia for 20 years until 1815, and Georgia in return, is given industrial machinery as requested from Connecticut manufacturers and top priority for Connecticut textile mills.

Signed King Benedict Arnold

From the Papal States
To All Catholic Princes and Rulers, and all the Catholic faithful
CC: All others, especially Great Britain

We, Pius VI, Pontiff of the Holy Catholic Church and the Vicar of Christ, remind all Catholics that it is their duty to oppose and destroy the Revolutionary government in France. To this end, Catholics should unite with another, and even with those nations that have chosen to exist outside the Church, especially Great Britain. We are willing to give our Papal blessing to those armies that move against the French revolutionaries. We sincerely hope and pray for the quick restoration of the monarchy and the restoration of the rights of the Church and an end to the persecution of the clergy and the faithful.

From the Papal States
To Great Britain

We are glad that you have decided to take action against the anti-clerical government in France. Despite the fact that you have rejected our authority, you have, in this respect, acted as an example to all Catholic nations. We will pray for your victory in this war.

From the Papal States
To the Catholic faithful in France

We wish to remind you not to co-operate with the revolutionaries in the slightest. They should be anathema to you. Do not put your salvation at risk by taking part in their vicious anti-clerical government! We wish to remind you of the terrible violence that has been used against the clergy. the laity, and the religious orders. We hope to see you under safe, Christian leadership soon. We also wish to remind you that we are willing to host a government-in-exile in Rome, and to that end we invite your clergymen, aristocrats and prominent representatives of the people to St. Peter's.

From the Papal States
To the Catholic Bishops who rule with temporal power

Brother Bishops, we ask you especially to remember your duty in fighting this republican force of evil. Secure your own lands against these revolutionaries, and make provisions for those who wish to fight against the French. As men of the cloth, we ask that you especially take part in the fight against the anti-clerical regime in France.

From the Papal States
To Revolutionary France

We declare a state of war against you and your satanic regime.

To: The United Kingdom and other free European Monarchies
From: The Empire of Portugal

The French Republic is an aberration that threatens all that is good and holy under the eyes of our God. Portugal shall join this Second Coalition, and we look forward to working with the other like-minded nations towards the goal of safety in Europe from illegitimate regimes.

To: France
From: The Empire of Portugal

We officially declare a state of war against your illegitimate nation. Good day.

Also, just a quick question, it looks to me like Portugal has a small colony on the Western coast of India, but it's not represented in the stats. Is this an oversight or am I just mistaken?

To: Great Britain
From: The Swedish Kingdom

We would like to join this coalition against the illegitimate government of France. As a fellow monarchy we are glad to help in this war.

@TaylorFlame: you are correct, that was an oversight on my part. I'll work on getting it into the stats immediately.

To the Papal States
From Great Britain:
The King would like to offer his gratitude to His Holiness even if the Church of England does not recognize the authority of the Pope. We would like to know if the Papal States will be joining the Second Coalition? We would also like to ask on behalf of Naples to have their forces be given free movement through Papal territory.

To Portugal
From Great Britain:
We thank Portugal for honoring the 1386 Treaty of Windsor which established the Anglo-Portuguese Alliance, the longest living in history.

To Sweden
From Great Britain:
May our efforts restore the Bourbons to their rightful place.

China is here! We must protest heavily the inclusion of the barbarian states of Europe within the same post as that of the stats of Glorious China . We ask that the Gods correct such a heinous mistake with haste, that we are not tainted by their uncleanliness.

Yes, despite our limited military abilities, we will join the coalition and grant access to the armies of other coalition members (of which Naples is presumably one).

The Netherlands will have no part in this war with France. We are officially neutral in the coming conflict.

Confirming Durrani Empire. Long live Zaman Shah!

@EQ Regarding the stats, why is Nepal so weak? This is the Nepalese Empire ruled by the Gurkhas we're talking about here. Just two or 3 years ago they invaded Tibet and took Lhasa though were defeated by the Chinese army. Nonetheless they're still powerful and expansionist, at this point they've annexed Sikkim and several surrounding territories.\Nepalese power wasn't broken until the Anglo-Nepalese war much later.

Here's a map of the Nepalese Empire:

Also regarding the map of India, they're' no independent Rajputana, I don't really think Gujarat should be independent either. The Maratha Confederacy was decentralized yes, but perhaps that may be better represented by drawing internal dividing lines?
This represents any long range weapon, at this point represented by rockets in Asia and increasingly effective artillery from Europe.

I'd like to point out there were cannons in Asia.

Pennsylvania checking in.

@EQ, I meant to ask this in the other thread and forgot. I realize that I am listed as a Republic so does that mean my government mirrors the one established in OTL colonial Pennsylvania? It would be important to know for politics and such for latter on. Sorry, if you have already answered this.

I would like to switch over to Denmark please (if that's taken then Cologne). Sorry for the double-switching, but I think I had enough madness in the US. :P Now I have much greater appreciation and respect for the Constitution.
