I just checked the Wikipedia article for the Promised Land.

It says the Brook of Egypt not the Nile. Which is the Pelusium arm of the Nile - which is in western Sinai. There was also another possibility, the Besor, which is in Israel proper.

This entire war has been caused by Dommy not reading a book the right way.
