RFC Europe Files

OK, just to verify, in the RFCEurope folder, you have the entire download, and make sure the .ini is exactly what I had posted above.

Also, do you have BtS patch 3.19? That is a possible problem... If not, download that patch here and then try it again.

ok 1) i did NOT have 3.19. i have it now. it still didnt change anything. 2) i was checking the .ini file when i saw a file titles RFCEurope and it said its type was Configuration setting. it looked just like my .ini file before you helped me change it. is that a possible fix?

If i downloaded the alpha 11 already, do i still have to download the "venice hotfix" thing? If so, what do i do with it after i downloaded it?

where do I download the latest version - post 1 or post 2 - it is confusing. Also, what is the deal with this venice hotfix. One location for file downloads would be nice (in this thread not the filehost) with an explanation of any patches/hotfixes. Sorry, I do appreciate the work you have done on this mod. I just want to make sure I have the latest and greatest. thanks (better explanations up front and consolidation will lead to fewer posts by clueless people like myself)

Where do you guys find this hotfix, it is from 8 months ago and is not valid anymore. Ignore the hotfix.

Alpha 11 is the same Alpha 11 wherever you decide to download it.

How can you tell which version you have/are playing? The readme says it's Alpha 10 even though I've just downloaded alpha 11 so I'm assuming it's wrong?

Sentence 1 above is related to the point I was trying to make. Have your OP updated current and consolidated.

Sentence too is not what I was trying to say. I'm referring to multiple locations/links within this thread prove confusing. I'm fine with rapidshare or whatever. What is confusing is having possible different version referenced in the first couple of posts in this thread. I still don't know what link is to the right version. Just have one link (or two if multiple filehosts) in your OP - not in two posts.

Also, please point me to the latest greatest versions of your mod - as Ekolite mentioned, I too downloaded a version that appears to be older than Alpha 11. I used the link in your OP not the second post.

I look forward to playing it as I haven't yet. Thanks

@ sedna

I made a mistake with commit files to sourceforge. (I kind of deleted Istvan) I works again on my computer, but I don't know if the revision deletes it on yours. The problem is in the XML files I commited. So if you are looking for the problem it's in revision 280.

EDIT: I think I solved the problem.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/rfceurope/ look form alpha 11. The link on the first post was correct too. It was just that I have to go advanced to see old attached file.

If you have downloaded a file that says alpha 11, then you have alpha 11.

I downloaded a clean copy from the SVN and still get the error.

Tag: LEADER_ISTVAN in Info class was incorrect
CIV4CivilizationInfos.xml

I think I solved the problem now at revision 284.

I just downloaded the mod, but whenever I try to open it, it crashes when it gets to the "choosing the civs" screen (it just says "loading the civs" and then crashes).
Does anyone know where it might come from ?

Hmmm... I'm not sure. Are you using the French version? (I see your location is Paris).

yes, do you think that might be the problem ?

Edit : I just tried to change the language to english, and there is the same problem

We've had this since the beginning. It's this line in the Python:

Code:
import cpickle as pickle

I already thought so, but I asked it because not all python files have that line.
