I'm wondering if this is a bug or a really mean feature.
Played as the Byzantines. When Arabs spawned, killed them before they could settle.
The Arabs are destroyed, yay!
Then some units deserted & I was asked to flip two cities. I'm at war with Arabs again.
Agreed with the flip & took the cities back the same turn.
The Arabs are destroyed, yay?
More units start flipping & I'm at war with Arabs again...
I think there's a small bug with converting to Protestantism.
It says all the buildings will be replaced but the normal churches which giveand 1 culture aren't replaced.
Also all the Catholic religions stay in all your cities, so you can just build all their monastries again and you'll get the bonuses from both Protestantism and Catholicism, I think it's more balanced to remove all Catholic religion from your cities as well.
Ah yes I forgot about the points you could lose from building religious buildings that don't belong to your religion.
Still it will be nice to have Protestant churches instead of Catholic if I want to switch to it and the Catholic religion removed from my cities to remove instabilities and stuff.
And in my experience 100% of my cities got Protestantism when I chose to convert but they all kept their Catholic religion so basically what I'm saying is that it can be either very bad or very good that there are 2 religions in all my cities (or more).
And it seems more realistic if instead of all my cities getting Protestantism added maybe only 80% of the cities will be affected and will also lose Catholicism and the other 20% I'll have to convert myself.
I see, I still think Catholicism should be removed from all cities that convert, but if you think this way it's better then I'm fine with that too.
I left Catholicism in many cities to encourage historically accurate religious prosecutions. Otherwise nations would simply flip one way or another and the only prosecutions would take place during war between Catholic and Protestant nations. St. Bartholomew's Day massacre was French vs French as were many others.
One thing about the Polish UHV, have most faith points of all Catholic nations:
Is it intended that you lose all faith points when the Reformation kicks in? I had about 25 faith points and lost all of them when Protestantism spread to half of my cities.... tried hard to spawn Great Priests and accumulated about 15 faith points which were not enough in the end.
Yes, I tried this, but the prosecutions didn't give me faith points (back).
Persecution takes away too much stability IMO. As Arabia I had persecution instability for over 80 turns. Whoops.
I was going through screenshots and thought these were funny. The first one is something that should probably be fixed and the second one is a real bug. Religion is weird...
Also, as Poland, I lost all of my faith points when Protestantism was founded and I didn't even convert.
