Mustangs are american horses. Check near the Mississippi for them. They must be in the city radius for you to be able to build it.
So they are. Perhaps you could fix the 'pedia entry so it's not quite so confusing.

Also, I notice there are no mustangs in the area where New York is in real life... how did they build the statue?

It says in the new general guide that the tech tree in RoX isn't that different from C3C... That's true about RoC but not so much so about RoX.
It also says "Certain wonders now require strategic resources, for reasons described above." I didn't see where the reasons were explained above that. =\
The "use the pedia" section repeats the exact same stuff that is said just above it in the terrain section, that's confusing.
And the guide really ought to mention that the max anarchy time for EVERYONE is now two turns. This means you can easily change you gov't whenever you need to (and this is what allowed me to utilize Absolute Monarchy for development while sustaining a nice army after I had waged war using Theocratic Monarchy, and then switch to Communism the second I was ready for another war.) It's gonna take me a while to get used to this, I'm still used to a gov't change being a decision that sticks with you for a long while.

EDIT: Tonight or sometime tomorrow I will edit the whole guide with changes, corrections, and additions that I think are needed.

So, the zeppelin wasn't that useless ;)
Blasphemous said:
Zeppelin, useless?! No way! I had enough to conquer a city before anyone else even had a single bomber.
And very soon I will be able to upgrade them all to Heavy Bombers and REALLY wreak havoc.
Well, that sounds realistic. Don't suppose any one mentioned that before...

I mentioned a long time a go that Zeppelins had almost no military significance and this is supposed to be a realistic mod as well as fun. Zeppelins reducing a city to make conquest possible is IMHO ridiculous.

Satchel,

Thanks so much, that was greatly appreciated.

I am not sure it is impossible but I do see how I mis-used the word concise there.

To Rhye's,

I am sorry if I came off as rude, I did say in a post that it was not meant, and I also praised your great work here. I was just frustrated in getting replies that were too short or based on the idea that I know as much as mod builders. If you look at how Satchel explained the install process you would see what SHOULD be on the download page, that would curb most of the frustration.

Anyway, I am sorry for any rudeness and appreciate all you guys do. You make Civ fun and new and deserve many kudos for it. Thanks to all who wrote on here helping me out.

Change what you like (use the doc v0.2 Enkidu posted), then HILIGHT the paragraphs that have been changed and post the doc again or send it to me.
You must hilight so that I know what's to be updated in the site.

Zeppelins reducing a city to make conquest possible is the fun and the consequence of the fact that they are available earlier than other planes.
And this last fact is realistic, because they were the first air units used for bombing.

I suppose that it could have been done if the other European powers had not built biplanes...

More importantly, did you fix the bomber=>heavy bomber upgrade? I had trouble with that in the previous setup, in that my bombers would not upgrade, but I could build heavies and not original bombers... which seemed kind of weird... and yes I was trying to upgrade in a town with an airport.

Rhye, how do we go about customizing the Diplomatic interface? I am interested in seeing if we could change that so that there would be one more cool difference from the original game ;p

That would be fantastic if you could develop a way to show more than 8 civs and their relations with others....(perhaps a chart or somthing -- like howthey show which civs have which traits)?

...err I meant just make it so that they say funny things... but yeah I guess you could change that... ;p

Like instead of "Generic Response A"

Germany says something like "Prepare to join our empire, pitiful vurm!"

;p

Also, Blas I am FLABBERGASTED at the Spanish empire! It looks like they really did their thing to max! Your emppire is very pretty too, but it looks like Russia also played well! Korea looks a bit weird, but India is very pretty, and America appears to be kicking some A$

LATE SEE YA

The Spanish really did great. They have managed to keep their tech edge while Greece has lost in (when they could no longer afford to buy my Oil, I knew it was the end of them.) See those two Spanish cities in the East - between my territory, the Russian territory, and those two Greek colonies? Well, those used to be Portuguese colonies. Then the Spanish took them (rapidly and suddenly). I'm pretty amazed the Portuguese still hold Lisbon.
Also, the only reason I could conquer most of Russia west of the Ural Mountains, is that Spain, Greece, Turkey, and Rome were all at war with Cathy for a while and they pummeled her through my Ukrainian provinces. There was a while, early in this war, when my major cities were building factories and stuff, so I was just building up forces on my northern border (at the time the province of Estonia) and so the czarine was safe to attack her other enemies and leave me almost alone. But then I started producing one, then two, Panzers per turn... They kinda outran my Machinegunners and Trench Inf, conquered like five provinces (with alot of help from my Zeppelins) and then I noticed I was stretching myself too thin so I quickly took another three cities for peace.
Anyway, once my workers finish improving the terrain in the province of Romania and all of my troops assemble in Romania and Hungary, I will invade Rome. The toughest nut to crack will of course be Spain. Spain and Greece, back in their superpower days, had an MPP. Haven't checked on that for a while. If they still have it I'll go after Spain first (because I don't fear Greece's assistance anymore) but if they don't, Greece is next (cause they have good, well-developed lands that can help me alot in taking Spain on). I have over a century left in which to annex all of Europe and spread the joys of Communism to the world. :D

thanks, blas! clearly, some of those mistakes are because i hadnt played ROCX yet. the tech tree is actually quite a bit different this time, and i didnt know about the anarchy point.

the explanation of wonder/resources was in an example in the longer intro that was in v0.1. when i pruned that for v0.2 i didnt move the explanation further down.

i'm more than happy for you to take this for the next leg of the relay! just glad to help you guys out any way i could. :)

EW

ps - started my first ROCX game last night as china, and loving it. two techs from riders, korea gone, and the mongols looking backward. japan has a tech and culture lead, and has grabbed half a dozen wonders (dont know how!) so i've got a serious choice to make about who to hit next... mongols will be easy and provide lots of territory, but japan is growing and might want to nip them now before they become too much of a problem....! Qin Spearmen are super cool!

Well, considering I have a few dozens of slaves which don't show up there (because they don't cost maintanance), I really have around 80-90 military units... And I can produce a ****load more when I need to. I'm working on infrastructure for the moment, but once that's all done I'm gonna get ready to whip some Roman posterior.
By the way, Rhye, I have the feeling that Modern Inf is underpowered (even though I can't build it yet)... When I can make either Mech Inf that is faster, or Modern Armor that has better attack and defense (and is much faster), I don't have much use a 10.10.1 unit...

I've played this mod as Russia at Emperor level for a little over 26 hours. I am way ahead in points. I am in the process of invading England with the help of Greece. I conquered most of Europe with the Cossacks; very strong military unit. Also, I easily took Central America and most of Mexico.

I attached a screen shot. What is the difference between total units and allowed units?

This is a great mod!!!! I'm going to try the Portuguese next.
