Rhye, noticed something about the Absolute Monarchy description. The struggles with Parliament in England over Absolutism occurred in the 17th Century, not the 16th. Elizabeth and Henry were more than capable at telling the Parliament to shut up and take it. It was the Stuarts (1604 onward, I believe) that got smacked down.

Is no one else having this problem? :(

I stopped playing as Israel on the 2nd turn when I saw I couldn't build warriors. Started a game as Arabia instead. I'll re-start as Israel and see what happens later on.

When I right click on the Blank thing, nothing happens (no civilopedia, no crash, etc.)

At the start of next turn, after choosing tech (in this case I chose Warrior Code), it defaults to Monument, with 19 turns till growth of Jerusalem, 20 turns until completion of Monument.

Edit: When I look at the biq in the editor, none of the Warrior flavors seem to be allowed for Israel (it's possible I'm missing one somewhere or something, dunno...)

Edit2: Oh, and the turn after that, it changes it to gathering from plains (I guess because now it is actually trying to build something)

... weird. I am gonna check the warriors in the .biq, but I have a feeling it might be something to do with a UU or a flavor unit.

... or not... I have no clue what is going on. I will save my game and start one as the Israelis and see what is up with that!

EDIT: Just realized I was looking at .386 instead of .842 haha!

You are right, Israel does not have any of the warriors selected! However, that did not stop it from wiping out Arabia in my game... curiouser and curiouser!

By the way, I've been able to do everything normally to my knowledge with America, England, Arabia, and Germany. I haven't tried the geographically cloest to Israel civs like Babylon and Persia.

Most of them should work fine. I gave Israel the slightly dark warrior in the biq I have, but it does not seem like there is anything else to do to it. Just pick a warrior that is clearly not a special one (like the Roman one!) and give them that one.

Should be a good quick fix.

Thanks

I'll do that when I start a new game (currently involved in my Arabian game!)

Edit: Also, some technologies when being moused over have the advisor giving his spiel about the wrong technology. Pagan Cults doesn't have anything come up when being moused over.

The tech thing is an inherent problem with C3C itself, not just the mod.

Were the civs supposed to be multi-colored?

Typos:
Epic of Gilgamesh:
Description:
"The earlier Akkadian version is known as Surpassing all other kings and dates back to ..."
If the title of it is "Surpassing all other kings", it should have capital letters in there.
" The "standard" version, He who saw the deep"
Again, it should have capital letters for the title.

Moai:
Description:
Throughout the description, sometimes Moai is used, and sometimes moai is used. I am not certain which is the proper form for it (I'd imagine Moai), but it most likely should be consistent.

Some entries, such as Mobile Tower, capitalize the first letters of each word of the name, (then in some cases make it lower case elsewhere) and others, such as Longship, do not.

I think it would be nice in the Civilization Religious Traits civilopedia entry if it provided links to descriptions of each type of religion.

Sorry if these suggestions are too nitpicky. I'm someone who is very obsessive about correct descriptions of things. I haven't looked through it all, by the way, these are just what I've noticed while playing thus far. If allowed, I could go through the civilopedia.txt and make some of the formatting of it more consistent.

O_O  2 pages of feedback!!!

OK, it seems that there's enough info to start working for a patch.
I was sure it would have happened anyway, as the beta testers can't catch everything.

I'll make a list, fix the things and wait some more day to have something more to add. I'd like to know the exact year of when you hit Industrial and when Modern.

Some random answers:

Juaguar -> yes you have to download again, as the changes of the beta are in many files, in all the parts.

->The Junk has the advantage to upgrade to Caravel, which means a boost to movement. Galley->Galleass are oar-armed ships, Junk->Caravel are sailing-only ships. Building a Junk in Europe is as weird as building Galleys in all the world but the Mediterranean. They're just the two most widespread ships of their kind. The alternative was renaming the galley "Oar-ship" or something like that and the Junk "Sailing ship"....I think it's better how it is now.

->No multicolours. That was an experiment that didn't give the results I expected.

->Even in standard Civ the units are sometimes in capital letters, sometimes not.

->I corrected the line in the first page about the pack/2.65 misunderstandings

->I have no clue of where do I change what the scientific advisor says. I'll try to find it.

->Nothing to add about palace guards and no worker. It was explained well in my absence :)

->You can choose the victory conditions you want.

->The rest of the things you mentioned will be fixed

While I hit the Industrial era rather early, it seems that I will be standard for the modern, since it is 1804 and I am still IN the industrial. However, every new unit I see is another new unit I fall in love with!

Rhye, to the tech descriptions, ask one of the Rise and Rule guys since they have changed descriptions; if you need to that is.

Also the Aztec's Eagle Warrior seems overpowered when compared to the swordsman.

Swordsman A/D/M: 3/1/1 Cost: 40 Tech to get: Iron Working
Eagle Warrior A/D/M: 3/2/1 Cost: 30 Tech to get: Bronze Working

The Aztecs get the Eagle Warrior before getting swordsmen and get them cheaper. They also don't need any special resources so you can't go and pilage the connection.

Rhye, are ironclads supposed to be penalized in coast and ocean? Civlopedia says no, but they are! Its pretty annoying, because the darn things cannot catch any other ships!

Hello, Im new to the forum and Rhye's mod.

Just have a question. I saw the strategy guide on Rhye's site, but can't seem to actually find the text, it still says to wait untill the expansion was released, which it has been. Am I just ancious (sp?)

Just want to get some tips as I seem to have a problem getting a good civilization going! My country is always behind on science and is not able to produce buildings or settlers very fast. Hopefully something will help soon because I am pretty poor. :-)

thanks

Strikercw, the X-pack was only relised yesterday, the strategy guides probably won't be up for a few weeks.
If you're having trouble try a game as China, they have plenty of place to expand, and are usually domanint over the other asian civs.

I probably should not allow Aztecs to build swordsmen
