Rise from Erebus 1.30 Bug Thread

Did you get enough awakened from the world spell to push you over the limit? The Scions have a limit based on map size as to how many awakened they can spawn from % chance spawning, so it's entirely possible that the Breach pushed you over that limit if you were close to it when you cast the spell.

And what would the limit be? Huge Map, WorldOfErebus map script. I got around 30-40 Awakened from The Breach, but a good 15 or so got wiped by an extremely annoying goblin.
 
The limit is dynamically generated from the amount of land tiles on the map.

Wait!. There is a limit? Even after the Scions have the hardest time getting pop? Have you realised how hard is that (Just compare with the easy getting pop-D'tesh or any other civ).

AND speaking of Scions: If it would not be much: Could you add a %awakened bonus on golden age?.

Actually, if the amount of awakened + population goes below the limit, I believe they are supposed to start spawning again.

Also, by the time you run out of awakened, you are supposed to have a Cathedral of Rebirth or two in good production cities and be pumping out Reborn, plus using Doomsayers/Doomgivers to capture Reborn from enemy units. I've not had trouble keeping my population going up after the limit myself.

Of course, I always play as the Risen Emporer; not sure how things go for Korinna.

EDIT: Also, I believe it was decided that it didn't make thematic sense for the Breach to be able to happen twice (there's only one False Laroth, after all). I didn't even know the Scions could create Birthright Regained; their ability to build it is probably the bug.

No, the limit is not based on awakened themselves. It is based on population, and is meant to switch you from spawned population (awakened) to built population (reborn). It has worked that way for over a year now.

It is not difficult to get pop as the scions, actually. They just have some strict tech requirements, and that is how they were designed.

Also: If your population goes back under that limit, you will start spawning them again.
 
maybe the infernals should have a pop cap too...in my game they had three cities, two with pop 50 and they had about 10times the population of my 20 cities put together:confused:

not to mention my games going to be over by the time Dis is not in anarchy... :p

oh and one last thing...anyone have a release date for rise from erebus for civ V :mischief:

I'm sure it has already been reported ...
but on the small chance it wasn't..
elephant/mamoth and stag/elk do not become tame after capture.
(in fact the elk that appears after capture is not the one that should appear: in WB there are 2 elks.. one that is not tamed, and one that is tamed if gifted through WB. It seems the capture of an elk induce the creation of the former one instead of the later one)

I've come across a very peculiar bug. I'm attacking the Archosian capital with a group of Infernal units, taking out about 8-12 units per turn. I always fight Archers, and I don't stop the assault, but this has been going on for about, I'd say, 15 turns or so. I've checked WB several times, but the amount of archers in the stack has been at most 7, but they just seem to get new Archers constantly. They're not building new ones all the times, they don't ahve the hammers for that, and they're not weirdly summoning archers (or at least, they dont have the "Summoned by" tag), and the Archosian military stats are not going down at all on the stat screen.

Why is this stack seemingly immortal?

Erm, how is the Hyborem's Whisper worldspell used? I've got Malevolent Designs, Arcana Luna (or something) isn't active, I'm following Ashen Veil, there's non-self-owned AV cities, and I've tried putting Hyborem in a city to see if it works then. To keep this on topic - Feedback: It's unclear how to use Hyborem's Whisper

Mokkas Cauldron is bugged. It raises the units infinitely many times.

And Hyborems Whisper: Doesn't that take over the Ashen Veil Holy city? If you already own it...
 
Ah! That would explain the infinity bug, thanks man. Sadly my Civ4 quits on me for bad memory allocation every time I edit stuff in WB, damnit.

As for the whisper - It should work with all cities, and I do not currently own the holy city. The Sheiam (my former Civ) still do.
 
I had a crash with dteshi, standard size map, while viewing only the area immediately around my capital. It happened during the beginning of the turn and I didn't get a memory allocation failure.

This is the closest save I've got, I'm not completely sure of the exact turn the game crashed on...:sad:

nevermind...it seems to be working now, I guess it was just a random crash

Same, i eventually always have a CoD error and never can get through that turn, its like something in the world is spawning or someone is building something that causes it.
 
that would be my guess, I have random seed on reload enabled so it isn't a random event in that case
 
I checked the worldbuilder, no one had anything that was being built finish the next turn....so i am assuming its a great leader or a demon/animal/barbarian spawn.
