Rise of Mankind 2.8 torrents

Ok, due to some difficulties when trying to upload v2.8 I decided to try out making torrents and start seeding RoM 2.8full and RoM 2.8Lite. Unfortunately CFC doesn't allow torrent files to be attachments so I had to zip them. Download the zip, extract it and click the torrent you want to use.

RoM2.8Torrents.zip contains:

Rise of Mankind 2.8 Lite

- same as Full version but new custom wonder movies and new modular leaders have been removed in order to get the download size smaller.
- patch v2.81 for Full should be used for Lite too



Rise of Mankind 2.8 Full

- main modpack with all the features
- patch v2.81 for Full


RoM2.8Mega_Torrents.zip contains:

Rise of Mankind 2.8 Mega (Mega civ pack preinstalled, 960MB)
Mega Civ Pack 1.7 for RoM 2.8 (requires RoM 2.8Full, 536MB)

- Mega version is the same as Full but contains 60 more civilizations and 120+ new leaders.
- Patch v2.81 for Mega

It takes some time to get a torrent started, after some min I got some connection to the seed but only for lite version. I hope the creator checkmarked "initial seed" when starting the torrent.

It's critical to get more seeders, the seed with just 1 precursor ist a pain in the esel most of the time. Once there are more than one seeder its pretty fast.

Anyhow, when I get the lite version first, I'll check out new features until the full version is ready loaded... :]

I'm got initial 300kb/s download rates, but it slowed down to a pleasent 90kb/s. I'll seed as soon as it's done.

After the initial burst now, I'm going much slower. I'm uploading like crazy (100kb/s up), but my download barely crawls above 10kb/s.

57 72 leechers already! What a success! Got 1,7% 5% of the full and 9,3% 16,9% of lite. Gonna take some time, still. It should be that every part seeded is unique, then torrents skyrocket once a torrent is shared completely by initial seed, snowball-system-like.

The usual problem with torrents is, that with only one seeder and a slow upload there the distribution in the beginning takes a lot of time. Torrents are getting faster the more seeders are there. Peers can only help uploading parts they already have, thats why the initial burst at the start occurs and gets better the more parts the peers have.
