When extracting the files out of WinZip, i get this error :
Error: unable to create output file "C:\Program Files (x86)\2K Games\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Complete\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Rise of Mankind\Addons.ini"
I hope anyone knows what i did do wrong?
Chris.
i have a problem. I'm using the Steam version of bts and I want to play the mod. I put the mod in with the other mods that the game came with when I installed the Steam bought version of the game. but the mod (RoM) wont show up in the list of mods that you are able to load. Ive scowered this site for 3 hours and cant find a solution. Maybe Im just not looking hard enough lol. But if anyone knows what I should do to find the mod IN GAME pls post a reply to me thnx.
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\sid meier's civilization iv beyond the sword\Beyond the Sword\Mods
worked thanks! Seems i just didnt know where to put the darned thing to begin with.im so new to this stuff
RoM 2.6 was for BTS 3.17, RoM 2.81 is for BTS 3.19. Have you installed the patch?
The mod look really neat, but I keep getting a "Memory allocation error" that causes the game to shut down. Attached should be the logs from my last game.

I have tried to run 2.71 with the futures:
Civ: Viking
Map size: Gigantic
Map type: Frantic
Game speed: Marathon
Its working
RoM 2.81 crash with these settings. But when I tried to run version 2.81 I launched Civ4 from steam, which I didnt when I tried to run 2.71.
Maybe is Steam causing it

MAF errors are because your computer ran out of usable RAM, either upgrade your computer or downgrade the size of the map you were playing on.
Hrm..... Is ROM inherently more complicated then regular BTS? I've got 2gb on the mother board and a 512 video card. I've never had this sort of problem with regular BTS.
Thanks for the input!

Can you give us more details? When you installed 2.8, did you delete 2.71 first, then install a clean copy of 2.8?
