Rise of Mankind 2.81 feedback and bug reports

Only a minor request, Strategyonly.

Please use a question mark only when called for. Otherwise, it grates on my nerves when you use "?" for statements not in an "asking" state.

OK, i will put it this way then:

Still need answer's in these questions. (How's that:confused:)

Obsidian has been used in cardiac surgery, as well-crafted obsidian blades have a cutting edge many times sharper than high-quality steel surgical scalpels,

:p...

I just received an "assignment" in the game to build several Modern Battleships, Modern Destroyers, Carriers, and Fighters. It goes on to say, "An additional reward will be available if your civilization was the one to build ???." The statement actually has the three question marks. What are the question marks referring to? I wanted to mention this in case Zappara might want to fix this error in the next version.

But you can still play without CTDs? Do you just do that by playing on small maps with not many nations?

Obsidian use in surgical instruments is actually quite new invention so it's better to have it in hospital's bonuses.

Thanks for that information, and I thought ceramics were state of the art! I spend the evening playing your mod and noticed a few other things (deity, tiny map):

1. AI sometimes moves units around aimlessly: Sometimes two large stacks are moved back and forth a few squares away from an enemy city, when at war (thanks to this I nearly got the AI on deity, as it gives more time to prepare). Often ships move in little circles, or in and out of a city.

2. The ground water pump does not spread irrigation (it should, or was that another mod?).

3. FW190a skin is not used for german Civ, although it is a german plane.

Talking about graphics, it would be nice, if the different types of mines could have different graphics, and if the P59 skin for the german Civ would be replaced with that of the Me262, and there are tons of different early fighter and bomber skins unused, and why are there no amazons nor tank girls in this mod? :p Better go to bed now before I start ranting about female spies and cooperates...

Pink textures on units usually mean missing textures and it's not that easy to locate the missing one (I'm sure you as a modder know about nifs ;)). The missing button file for Secret army base.. wasn't it fixed it in v2.81? It fixed same problem for few other buildings.

The advanced scoreboard settings are explained in pedia's RoM Concepts pages (Advanced Scoreboard) and also with hover text in BUG options when you check advanced scoreboard settings. And yes it's normal to get that many civs when Revolution/Barbarian civ components are on.

I'll have to check that random event.

1. Noticed it too couple times. I think it's issue with Better BtS AI and will probably be fixed when I get newer AI mod version merged.

2. Good point

3. I know there's tons of available industrial/modern era planes/tanks that could be added to the mod but adding them is going to take some time - I try to do at least the ethnic unit artstyles (just added about 20 african unit graphics yesterday) but I can't devote much time for single civ unit artstyles but luckily other modmodders have already made such (quibing's unit pack for example) so you could check out the RoM modmods forum.

Right you are, bugs first, cosmetical issues later. As a passive recipient of your mod I am not bound to such rationales and corrected that FW190a thingy myself.

OK thx, but i have all the new everything added. And thx on the others, i am just NEW to the Rev/Barb stuff is all, and again thx.:p

I got an XML error trying to load a giant map in the RoM megapack. Previously it was a Runtime error, now its a schema error which is odd. View attachment Logs.zip

This is feedback/question, I've searched alot, and maybe I'm not doing a good job searching, but is there a Rise of Mankind/Rapture merge? Or possibly even a Rise of Mankind/New Dawn/Rapture merge? I would like really to be able to play with the 180 some religions options you get from WoC Rapture. Also, for myself I have already started a good French Translation of Rise of Mankind, if anyone would be interested in the game text I changed, just ask.

I also cant load a tiny 1v1 map either. Everytime i try to load any game regardless of speed or map i either get a runtime error, or schema error.

Can you Run RoM FULL? The Mega Pack requires a very high end computer, I don't recommend it for the average user.

Okay im gonna try, my computer isnt that bad, I have a really good video card (atleast i think) ATI Radeon HD 4350. But Im not sure about other parts, sigh, okay hold on let me check the FULL.

Yeah Full still works flawlessly. I could care less about the other stuff in mega pack i just want some of the new civs, leaders and civ specific buildings/units, is there any clear way to extract those things from mega pack and add them to FULL?

Hi!

I have also a problem with the Mega Pack, just like Xoatl 169.

After setting up a game (picking the map, civilizations, how many AI "enemies"...and so on), I can see the world and "Baba Yetu" comes up 3 time, and then it crashes.

I don't have any problem with Full...and, just like Xoatl 169, I also want the new civs (mainly New Zealand, Scotland, Wales and Hungary and Toltec)

Dont forget Ireland lol

I'm having some crashing problems with 2.81 full, even when I turned down the map size to Large (instead of Huge) and the memory used is significantly lower (~860 MB of 2GB of RAM).

The game crashes as soon as the next turn happens after I get my research finished. I know some people had a similar problem and it was fixed, any ideas how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

Incidentally is there a direct download link to the Lite version?
