Lazy people who don't know one timezone from another! Bah! I hope you roll nothing but ones!

*spits*

No leniency! (though admittedly, I sent orders about 5 minutes late.

Sym, set a hard line now, or they won't take it seriously.

*shakes his fist in the late peoples' general direction*

Set a hard line now! :S

Do what I do and start NMRing one territory for every 6 or 12 hours their orders are late (I haven't decided which one I'm going with yet)

What exactly does NMR stand for? I get the idea that it means roughly "hold" or "do nothing".

My new avatar is for you guys.

Questions:
1-Even on the first turn, we first put the reinforcements then attack, right?

2-Battle resolution says first level of dice for 1 to 5 armies. So is there no difference in defense of 1 army and 5 army, or does the attacker have to succeed multiple rolls to kill multiple armies?

Yes. You have 3 reinforcements for the first turn.

2-Battle resolution says first level of dice for 1 to 5 armies. So is there no difference in defense of 1 army and 5 army, or does the attacker have to succeed multiple rolls to kill multiple armies?
The latter.

A battle is a repetition of rounds, and lasts until either the attacker or defender has no armies left.

For each round, each involved army rolls its designated die. Loser(s) remove X armies, where X depends on the lowest die involved in the clash. If any involved side rolls the white die (smallest), the number of casualties in each round is 1 (Yellow=2, ..., Black=5).

Thus, attacking a territory with 1 army means you have to beat the roll of that army 1 time, attacking a territory with 5 armies means you have to beat the roll 5 times.

As an aside, for multi-invasions, the defender must beat all the rolls of the attackers in order to deal any casualties, but if it does then all attackers take casualties. Otherwise the defender takes casualties for each attacker that beats (or draws with) its roll.

Symph, the way you manage this game (and probably others you've run besides Risk) makes you probably one of the biggest douchebags I've encountered. Was the huge "YOURE FIRED!" with the nice touch of asking everyone to resend. Just because you are a mod doesn't mean you are a doing a public service. Big woop! Many are mods. Why the hell are you so special? You're not. So if you act like a douchebag, you will get treated like on.

Both of you just stop. It's a game. Just a game.

Don't sour it with a quarrel.

Well, Sym, I'm going to be going on a band trip until late Sunday. I've sent orders for this update. Will I be able to send orders on time?

Deadline will probably be Monday in lieu of my computer, so yes, likely. You're all free to blame Microsoft for deeming a new motherboard means a new computer and Dell for selling proprietary pieces of crap.

I've never had problems with Dell... though this could be because of my tendency to not take apart my computers unless absolutely necessary.
