Chairman Mao's Revised Plan: Part VI

Chairman Mao's Grand plan is alive and well. Atheism/Communism/Population/Espionage all in play this round.
First as I mentioned we got that random event that stops the war. I was so happy I forgot the screenshot.
The techpath went Scientific method/Communism/started democracy (which noone has yet)
So soon after the war we offered old Sury this trade, to mend fences.
And soon after we used our espionage again
Go ahead Willem, you just keep staying ahead in tech.
In fact, let me help you along
Cash, almost as good as money.

We did have two problems.
The AP gave a city back to Justinian and Thesalonia culture flipped to Sury.
We shall reclaim that in a later segment.
And we get another visit from our favorite CIV alien
Bring it on Green Man, we are ready.
We gave Sal education for gold and a declaration of war against Sury. As of the save they are still at it, trying to figure out how to bring troops across the ocean in caravels to kill each other.
Now, I do not have screenshots of most of the defensive war. Most of it was running my cavalry out to attack his stacks, trying to retreat, using cannons for collateral damage, mopping up with obsolete units like Pikes and chariots.
But look at the power numbers after the first turn of war
Yes, Sury is hurting himself although by the end we took a good beating there, but not as bad.
Near the end, notice we are below Willem. Now I tried to get Will involved but he's cautious and "We have enough on our Hands". Now since we do not share a border, and Sury attacked him earlier and took severla cities I gotta assume he's going after Siry.
A little more cash upgrade a few more knights to cavalry or Muskets to Rifles.
Finally, we get a group of troops together and start bringing the war to Sury.
Resulting in
Shove that in your crown, dammed Khmerian freak!
And finally peace
My problem here is that Sury is teching physics and will get it much earlier than us (as we are plodding along with Communism). Airships have no counter, they are tough!!!
He also originally offered Thesalonia whichw be declined. The city would have revolted anyway.
Soon after the war
Willem is passing us, but almost ontop of Surymanan. As soon as Willem DoW's on Sury (if he does) we are dogpiling him.
Finally, one key part of Maoism has been realized.
We revolt to state property. Our civics are now HR/nationalism/slavery/state property/tribalism. The last civic swap will be emancipation, hopefully within 30 turns.
We got real nervous here
No great love of the Zealot Sal, but we do not want Will ruining his plans for attacking Sury.
Luckily
Guess Will has some payback also.
And near the end of the segment
Now you gotta admit, that is pretty darned cool. Stealing physics via espionage.

I say that phrase to bring back another RPC, Peter's failed attempts. My advice on espioage, stay away from teh slider unless you just need some fast eps for an imediate tech. We did all this espionage without ever adjusting the slider!!! Settling GSs and one scottland yard. Spy missions to the closest city, let the spy sit there for 5 turns, easy as pie!!!
And after all of that
Settle him, settle. And we do not even have the intelligence agency in Bejing yet!!!!
At the save here is the tech situation
We need about 4000 eps to steal economics from Willem, that's 20 turns!!! I have delayed it to drag the castles along for a while, but we need economics for corporation. I say we are due and after teching democracy it's time for corporation.
Victory conditions show Sury must surely dies for us to win!!!
There is a very nice thin strip of Khmerian land separating Will from us. Yeah, I think Will has Sury in his sights. Of course I could be wrong and Justinians capital could be the target, but I don't think so.
And one final thing. There are only 2 oil sources on our land mass, one burried in Will's turf and the other..
Load the cannons boys, we shall feast on Khmerian flesh tonight!!!!
OK, I say we tech and spam military. The spam, spam, spam!!!!! We are getting 13 XP promoted cavalry out of the HE city (3 GGs in that defensive war, what a wonder the GW is!). We just have to wait Willem out.
