Role Play Challenge: Paranoia!

... CCrunner, are you suggesting only one godly intervention per turnset? That means I'll be in the game in turn 350 and again in turn 950? That's, excuse the french, a bad idea. I don't like it... So:

Madscientist, would you accept more than one edit per round as long as the game remains winnable and fulfills the eleven commandments?

In that case, for Paulus:
Spoiler :
Madscientist has researched Writing, which he has already gotten his reward for. It is minor, the text in the last spoiler dedicated to him.

However, I suspect he has not built a Library. If he has, add a (standard, not great) artist specialist in the city that built the library.

If he hasn't, remove the Marble on the northern island and change the tile underneath to Ice. Place upon it a barb with the lemming attack ID. It should be a sword with the name "Servant of the Arts" and the following promotions: Drill II (not I), Flanking I and II, Combat I and II, and Shock.

EDIT: And please add a Marble ressource under the Portuguese capital.

Spoiler Joshua :
Napoleon looks to be strong this game. You could try favoring him

You're right :hmm:. Loose rule of two or three then? Of course, it's all up to Madscientist... What's your opinion on the number of interventions?

I don't even know that we need the order at all. Somebody just suggested that we do so I did it

My opinion on the number is that in theory, all gods can intervene between turnsets, as long as they follow the eleven commandments (and thus do not change back what other gods do, do not make the game impossible to win, and posts a "got it" when they start to WB so that two gods do not cross-edit).

Hmmm, guessing some things from the non-spoilers (no I have NOT looked at them) I simply will NOT do things I am told to do!

Quests make no sense in the context of the RPC. Zara thinks the gods are out to get him: why would he listen to their lies? "Do as I say and I'll give you a boon" -- clearly that's just some perfidious trick!

Makes sense... The quests (Mantis was the best at this I think) in DI IV was just so well appreciated... But I guess Mad wants it the hard way?

In that case, I will make sure he will. Perhaps I might inspire his opponents to something less innocent than painting... :D

Anyway, Mad Scientist, Zara doesn't do quests for boons... Does he do quests to avoid punishments? It might make sense and make for a more interesting game for the gods. Much of the spark from the DI series came from the gods' rivaling, and this might not occur if they are all there to mock you... If someone has another solution to this (to spark godly relations!), please post it! I am sure it would add dynamic to the game.

Multiple edits though often create conflicting interests, or things can get overshadowed by other actions... maybe we could just have shorter turnsets instead?

Though personally I don't mind having only one or two edits in the entire game, expecially if they can be fairly big, as long as they follow the 3 Commandments. (in the opening post)

Edit: Mad said he will not do quests at all, and by Zara's RPC personality it seems like that won't change regardless of what the gods say. You might be better off just punishing him outright. :D Maybe reward him if he does something that pleases you...

Put is this way folks. I will play whatever everyone posts come tomorrow morning. If this is a Monotheistic change or Polytheistic it makes no difference to me!

Just port the save and highlight "Her You Go MAD"

Madscientist, not to be rude, but be patient. The gods might need more than 36 hours to discuss and edit the save. Atleast, Paulus needs to edit my changes (although minor) to the save. And I bet others would like influence as well.

I would hate to surge interest from the game, but DI turnsets can't be rushed. I would be much happier if there was like 72 hours between sets (then again, it is your game).

I am not trying to be demanding, I am trying to help you play the kind of game you posted in the beginning what you wanted.

... And what is Zaras opinion on threats (see my question in the last post, #46)?

OK, I can be patient. Just make sure someone screams out to me "This is the Save!"

As Slobberinbear suggested, PaulusIII would suited for the post of Head of Gods. I second the motion to let him tell Mad which the final save is.

I would be a god but I have not yet gotten BTS (I know, i feel like I am technologically backwards) so if someone could due the building for me I would just tell them what to do that would be cool.

I'll do it. PM me with what you want to do when you think it's appropriate

"Sire, I; Anaeus, servant of Vulcan, God of the Forge-"

"On with it." Vulcan didn't even look up at his servant, instead focusing on the metal in front of him.

"Sire, the mortal has failed. There are metals on his continent that have not been mined, there are no forges in his cities, and there is no statue in your honor."

"Can his people work iron?"

"He has done that, sire, but he decided that there were other things too attend to before he put his wisemen to the task. Shall you go forth and punish him, sire?"

"He has barely had time to work on the tasks. If we were to judge now, we could find him at fault, but that would not have been fair to him."

"What of his arrogance in taking his time in your orders?"

"Unimportant. It is that they are done that matters in the end. And that shall be all on that," Vulcan said, ending the matter. "What else is there?"

"One other thing, sire. Asmodeous has set one of his machines on the Ethiopians for their insult to his servant, Zhe." No one took that Impi seriously-inarticulacy does that-but Zara'd taken it to a new level.

For the first time in the conversation, Vulcan actually looked up, if only for a moment. "Isn't he dueling with the Lord of Shadows in another world?" Vulcan was no friend to either the God of Science and Technology nor the Lord of Shadows, but at least the latter could be trusted to keep ver nose out of other's business.

"To my knowledge, sire, he is, yet he sent forth one of his machines."

"Splitting one's focus is unwise." Vulcan continued to hammer the sword-to-be in front of him. Guessing that this was the end of matters, Anaeus took his hammer and left.

----

Changes: Added Asmodeous's Machine outside Zara's capital. For balance, it's represented by an Axeman.
Spoiler :
The programming is Lemmings, but if someone knows how to actually make it Pillage properly, that's be better.

Got it for Tank151

Edit: No save Nodot? In that case, I'll void the got it since he seems to be logged off for the night and others will probably wake up before me. Sorry Tank, I'll try again later.

Done!
Changes
Spoiler Changes I made :
Gave Mad 3 bears and 2 lions for Tank151, the nature god. Also added a bit of advertising :p Come on, you know you want to join

Mad, it's fine to remove my signs. They aren't part of anybodies plan but my own.
