We are (cough) doing quite well (Cough, Cough) here! We have built up a strong (Wheezeeeeee) empire that can out produce the world (air, we need air!). Let's see how the Native Americans (Trees, what's a tree??) are progressing.

Now is that a good dose of pollution or what!

Pollution Bull: Part X

Well we have MAxed out our unhealthiness, getting all the polluting buildings in teh game. While there is a massive amount of unhealthiness, it is actually manageable and not effecting us that much. However, there is some issues that have popped up so I am posting this segment now before finishing the game.

Techpath for the seqgemtn: Superconductors/plastics/radio/Sattelites/Composites/Computers.

Reagrding hydroplant and teh 3GD, in interest of the RPC flavor I decided to still with good old fashioned reliable COAL!!!!

We started by getting

Which is great for happiness! Perhaps Native Americans cannot breath, but they are happy!


Arround this time Pacal decided to demand gold which we refused. As he was the only leader close in power (we were 90% of his power) I deciced on amassive military buildup. Sure I could have simply built beakers, but this is Sitting Bull we are talking about and I think we should be #1 in military.

And used the Great Spy

with a saved Great Prophet to start a 24 turn Golden Age. This allowed us to get a lab in each city by the end!

A look at most of our cities

Alot of unhealth there, but alot of happiness. I revolted to US during the Golden Age as we do not need the happiness! We want production.

THEn somethign rather serious happened.

pacal has the most population but Darius doesn't like him so I am not concerned about a Mayan Diplo win.

What I am very concerned about is defying THIS

For the rest of the game. Sorry, but Sitting Bull will NOT follow the lead of these environmentalist fanatics. Nor is he willing to see a 50% markup in Corporation costs (losing the 25% discount from Free MArket and the 25% surcharge from Environmentalism).

So we defied the resolution! The -5 diplo points is not that bad right now, but we cannot do it again.

SO we built a few temples to recover the unhappiness. However, we got this randon event

And used it to spread the three religions to all other cities. Helped as we are in FR and that's one extra happiness per religion.

After building a last few transports, we lunched our army

In search of the UN headquarters! It happens to be in one of Pacals three culture cities (Now how about that!).

I saved here, giving everyone a chance to decide if we want a dirty space win or a nasty domination. Or do you want both? I would be delighted to go and destroy the entire world while heading to space!

I have about 30 turns until the internet is done and we can steal Fascism. Right now I will deal with the unhappiness with the culture slider, 40% culture would be enough I think as we have theaters and Collesiums in all cities (See, Sitting Bull knows how to treat his people!).

OK, the internet will get us Fission/Fascism/Mass Media/Communism. All but Communism is usefull.

Kick some Mayan ass. There's no reason not to finish the Mayans, therefor guaranteeing there's no cultural, military, diplomatic or other kind of threat from them. Then do what you want about Space/Domination. But the Mayans must die to make place for the glorious empire of the Bull!

I agree, dump a whole load of them as you are on your way to mess up a new planet. Sort of like the Spanish burning their ships when they landed in the new world.

Also, helps prevent the others from following.

Once the UN is gone there won't be any way to have the non-nuclear treaty.

Wonder how the other side of the Pollution Bull coin would look where the game was all about health. No chopping, no factories unless powered by hydro, must build heath buildings in every city right away, etc...

Take the UN city and raze it. That'll put an end to this tree-loving nonsense.

As far as warring goes. If you'll have more fun doing it, go right ahead I'd still push toward a Space Race win as well, though ... domination wins can sometimes turn into a grind, so keeping your options open is good.

raise the U.N. the Unhappiness won't go away immediately, but it will go away, 90 turns I think Marathon.

Just go forth and raise cities, too much environmentalism in there, I can feel the 'green health' creeping into my bones from THIS side of the screen, imagine how Bull'a Ma Kanka must feel right now.

Only the righteous industrialization shall rule the world, resources are for PRODUCTION, not "Oh, i need some health doctor" Cure for Cancer, cancer weeds out the weak, and lets the strong thrive.

Pollution Bull: Stinking up SPace!

Ah, another grand end to another RPC! We did spoil Bull's anti-pollution aspect just a tad though as he could not figure out how to get genetics without the free +3 health.

First a closeup of the filthy Mayan city and home of the environmentalist fanatics!

Fear not, Pollution is here to rescue the industry of the world.

Causing a major World War, with the Persians on the outside looking in.

Pacal certainly did NOT have a fight in him! We quickly landed our foce on the hill, clobber the UN city, AND............

Razed the UN. Sitting Bull was delighted. While we are at it, SB directed his generals to take out a few of those cultural cities on the shore.

First the confuscian Holy City

Which we liberated to Darius. I figure let PAcal steam that one over and try to retake it!.

We then proceeded to raze a few more Mayan cities

And then came across the Capital.

Now this one was a little tempting as it was the Hindu/Judaist Holy City. However we razed it! PAcal was not happy as we razed three Mayan Holy Cities!

And for the hell of it, we razed one more city, just because it was there.

NOW, about victory conditions

Bye Bye UN. Bye Bye AP (PAcal and Darius have Mass Media). So long 3 legondary cities. Smog and Pollution rule and Sitting Bull plans to bring it to the stars, if he has to trash the world to do it!

Soon we got bored with burnign down Maya and decided to accept peace.

Here I stopped worrying about military and either built gold or beakers depending our needs.

And while we had a GE and GP sitting arround, I got one of those usually annoying Great Artist from the National Epic.

Just enough to launch one final 24 turn Golden Age.

And a few turns before we finished the internet to get Fission, we got

Ah well, unavoidable. I thought about razing three seafood resources to even thing sup, but decided it was not worth it this late! The point about the unhealthiness was made, we have sick people in every city, and the excess population simply died off!

RPC Recap!

1) Pollution. Let's be serious, I did not miss those buildings one bit! As crazy as it sounded I simply invested in Military and the other science/happiness/production/gold buildings and did just fine! In fact we built just about every Polluting building in the game in every city!

2) Corporations! A little Sushi goes a long way to eliminating Smog! Also Mining Inc certainly made us into one massive production powerhouse at the end for late game military action and space ship production. Hell, we built Apollo, a large Space Part, and the internet in teh ironworks city which was a population of maybe 6 or 7!

3) Military! True to AI Sitting Bull, we believed in a stronge Military from the get go. Don't believe me, go ask Monty, Shaka, Napolean, and PAcal!

4) Science! UNtrue to AI Sitting Bull, we knew how to runa good science game amongst the unhealthiness and military! We dominated in techs late (even before the internet) which is not bad considering we were running arround with CG III archers while alot of leaders had Longbows and crossbows!

5) LAND IS POWER! Enough said!
