Patagonia:
Yes it's flat world intentionally, the donut is completely surrounded by ocean so Toroidal wouldn't really change much.
Without further ado:
Round 1: (4000 BC - 2320 BC) - 42 Turns
Move the scout NW, which reveals nothing fascinating and found in place after counting food to see that the corn+clams will allow me to work every hill tile in the BFC.
Stone! Pyramids gambit for sure, now.
Chose to go with a worker and agriculture for the corn.
Turn 2 brings us the first Monty, we each slaughter 50,000 slaves to commemerate this auspicious occasion. He came from the immediate west and we can see his lands in the summary.
9: One of the Montys founds Buddhism.
After Agriculture I chose mining next.
Within the first 15 turns, both early religions have fallen (Hinduism went turn 12) and I've met 3 Montys all in the west. Brown and Mustard Yellow Montys are within 10 tiles of each other.
Next builds after the worker were warrior, warrior, workboat, warrior, settler.
Chose Fishing after Mining, will go BW next.
Umm, we appear to have 2 pairs of Montys of the same color
Stopped in turn 42, after BW came in. Just one visible source of copper so far. First settler is 1 turn away and I think the city should go here:
Here's the full map:
Capital:
Where should I be teching to next? Archery is a placeholder, I think Masonry makes sense and get a few cities out ASAP.
As you can see, we've met no fewer than 10 Montys within 40 turns and most if not all have a second city already although I haven't seen anyone with axes/spears yet.
