Hello people. So, this idea has been itching my head for a few weeks and, before taking any stupid measure, I decided to make this thread.

The idea is simple: roleplay by post. It differs from a common RPG or even AC for not having a game system. There are no levels, deep rules on skills, class. Everything depends on the imagination of each player, the interpretation of your character and interact with the world and other players and by the lack of rules, it is expected common sense of the participants for both the creation of the world and its conflicts. The point here is not to win, but, as the name suggests, play the role of your character, even if at some point in the narrative, the role of your character is to die.

So, anyone interested? It would also be interesting if we discuss the scenario (steampunk, medieval, sci-fi, and so on). Particularly, I find interesting the cyberpunk noir style.

Sounds like a story-NES, if a little less effort. I could be down for it.

I vote semi-gritty superhero.

I wouldnt mind medieval/fantasy.

To the undiscovered country?

I look forward to see what emerges.

Chaos will be present.

I vote exploration setting of a world where futuristic technologies dominate but not in space but rather set in a perhaps dystopian Earth.

I agree with SK, space fantasy all the way :D

Space Fantasy/Medieval *cough 40k cough* :p

I can agree with Space Fantasy if it has certain dystopic elements.
But even otherwise, Space Fantasy is superior to all else

The necromancers will rise!

Takes me back to my days when I played a huge number of pbf Star Trek games.

I'd be up for this - reminds me of that NES that did a simialr thing back in December.

Edit: this one

We can always works with something more "easy".

I was thinking something like Aurora 4x + Project Nomand. We humans "defending" Earth (as a ship [maybe]).

Earth will be defended... once we necromancers have liberated the people from their mortal coils and embrace the breaker of destinies: undeath.

Inmortuus factus est praevaricator fata!

If need be I am willing to serve (or command) as a member of a necromancer order exiled from Earth, a infiltrator or some other force allowing us face off against the oppressors of necromancers, so that will embrace the true salvation of undeath. Whichever rank I am I will do my duty to ensure that the forces of darkness may save guard itself from illuminations and other forces of evil. I look forward to the potential fun to cometh from necromancy in a space setting.

Burn all the bodies with fire. :P

1. In a gothic setting players would be monster hunters. Preventing these monsters "devastate" civilization. Something I already had plans, but never ran.

Particularly I am supporter of that idea. And also I'm kicking ideas to you.

Today is perhaps the happiest day of my nerd life and I'll not even going to joke about porn.

I found one of the "oldest" things possible the internet, an X-COM rpg system which, by the way, is not available in English (very underground).

Basically X-COM would be a secret organization (like MIB in black). "A secret organization, which operates worldwide in order not to study, analyze or attempt to communicate with extraterrestrial forces attacking our world: your goal is to FINISH them! Created in a secret alliance with the most powerful countries in the world, the X-COM (Extraterrestrial Combat Unit) aims, objectively, to eliminate the growing alien domination on our planet. While ordinary people have no concept of what happens, YOU are a prepared agent, chosen (against your will or not!) among the best in your area to work in this organization."

What do you think of that scenario? I'm so happy to find this system that I might do something involving xcom with the next few weeks.
