Fox wants screenies, I give screenies. I edited the above post to take my notes out. I edited them and added screenies. Here's the first 6+ turns. I can either play the rest or hand it off. I don't care which.

Okay, I have the game, now. Blid says to switch to Organized Religion and start building banks and such. Can do. So I revolt to Representation, Mercantilism, Caste System, and Organized Religion. Three turns of Anarchy.

Elizabeth complets Kong Miao on my first turn. Barb warriors (warriors?) appear near
Napa Iron Pigs
Let's look at the military situation. Bombay is only defended by a longbow and a catapult. Main stack will take out Delhi. Small stack will do for Bombay. From there, both can meet up and take out Calcutta, the city with Versailles. Delhi only has one each of Musket, Mace, Longbow, and Pike. Sweet.
End of turn one
Again, IBT offers zero sign from Asoka. Either he's out of gas or he's waiting for one more massive strike. Is there any reason I shouldn't take out Delhi? I seem to remember having taken and lost it once already. Six cats take Delhi's defenses from 60% to 6%. But still, my best odds are about 39%. I can upgrade a grenny to pinch. Let's see.
Okay, upgrade the grenny to pinch and combat 2. He now has 75% odds. And of course, I lose. Bastard won 7 of 10 rounds.
So I next promote a knight to flanking 2 to try a withdrawl against the lone pike. And the plan pays off. Knight withdraws. Unfortunately, the pike is only hurt down to 4.1/6
Next, I promote a Knight to combat I, shock I to take on the mace at 71.7%. And lose! This RNG is not helping us, here. Wait a minute. The computer swapped on me. I didn't even notice that my shock-promoted knight wasn't fighting the mace, he went in against the longbow!!! Angry!!! But it was still 71.7% odds. I only won two of those rounds.
So I promote another knight to shock and the computer offers up the wounded pike at 72.8%. And lose again????
How 'bout we try 76% against the mace now? And lose at 76%???
And finally, four mop-up battles take the city. I keep it.
Over at Bombay, my three catapult take the city from 60 to 33%. But my two knights still have long odds. I'll wait a few here.
END of turn 2.
Okay, we come out of Anarchy and Mansa wants to rob us blind. Optics for Printing Press. First, what good is Optics on this map?
Okay, on the plus side, we can learn Education in 9 with just 0% science and all of our specialists. On the other, we're still at -8 per turn?
Well, one of the problems is the 12 war weariness in the capital. Well, I think we're just plain screwed here. WW is astronomical. Around 8 or 9 WW in most of our main cities.
Neat. Now that we have Delhi, we can spy into all the other Indian cities. Calcutta is defended by a grenadier, musket, mace, and longbow. Jaipur is just a longbow and pike. Hyderabad is a crossbow, horse archer, and catapult. Etruscan has a longbow, pike, and cat. Karachi is longbow, pike, and cat.
Now that I look at it, we do not have a prophet in any of our cities. 33% of the world is budhist and we have no stinkin shrine in the holy city. So I take the (free) scientist in Nantucket and turn him into a priest.
A little MM takes Education up to 10 turns, but we're at +7 in gold
Over at Bombay, I promote a mace to cover and city raider to attempt an attack on Bombay's longbow after my three cats take down the city to 6%. He dies, but he was supposed to. Second mace and a knight clean up.
At this point, I'm thinking Calcutta, then peace.
I still don't know what to do with AlKhwarizimi (GS).
end of turn 3
Mansa demands that we cancel deals with the Chinese, IBT. Negative, Ghostrider. Also, IBT, Asoka has the stones to send two longbows and a settler up to Napa. I have four (I think) grennies already en route.
(He would later settle precisely on the spot where you see him in the above screenie.)
End of turn 4
Lizzy adopts Representation IBT, so we no longer have the monopoly on constitution. Wait a minute, now everyone has it. I could have sworn we had a monopoly on that on my first turn. I should have paid better attention to the tech screen. Sorry.
Good god, we just dove to -22/turn at 0% science!
(How come when you capture an Indian worker, he slows down?)
End of turn five
Asoka has beefed up Calcutta's defense, but we have such overwhelming force, it won't matter.
IBT, HC adopts Emancipation. Just what we need. More reason for our citizens to be angry. Bangalore comes out of revolt with 23 angry. Thanks to cats, Calcutta's defense goes from 60 to 33. Won't attack this turn.
Two grennies arrive in Napa. They have 68 % against the new Indian town. With my luck this set, I decide not to attack. (I would later join them with a third and march down toward India's newest city.)
End of turn 6
At Calcutta, the cats take defense down to 6%. Asoka's got one garrison 2 musket that's giving us problems. Argh, game crash, again. But this time I had autosave set every turn. All I lost were a few build orders.
Again, my cats take Calcutta down to 6%. Time to suicide a cat or two. First cat lost every round, damaging all but the pesky musket. Cat 2 takes the musket down to 5 strenght. The city should be mop-up now.
Okay, not quite. Pinch and combat knight loses at 68%. Damn! Lose another 60% knight. And lose a combat 2 knight to a heavily hurt longbow. (At the beginning of this set, I lost four 75%+ battles in a row. Now I lost 68, 62, and 90-something all in a row. What is wrong with Civ4 Combat?)
Four real mop-ups and Calcutta is ours.
