Introdruction
Over time, the NES has left its beginnings as a story into a more board game fashion. Well, I want to make this prospect a story again. When a person takes a nation, they must not only engage in international relations, make war, etc., but also provide a story for the internal happenings of their nations.
In order for this to maintain as a story, and not just back-and-forth glorious victories as it turned out, battles will work a little differently. Each is expected to be fully and richly detailed, however, by a neutral noncombatant nation. This will be the first one to step up to the plate. However, should none of the writers step up, I will write the story. By the end of the year (2 days in the real world) each nation is obligated supply orders, such as military expansion, economic expansion, etc., along with any military engagements they might pursue. However, should no orders be recieved, the nation will "NMR," and no changes will be made. Should a writer choose to give a battle story and decision, they will post it first, because they take a while to write out. These are the only two rules.
Country characteristics are to be thought of while creating a story, or while a writer is describing a battle.
All information will be posted on the timeline, and this will include updates from the mini-stories in each nation, as well as the battles and expansion.
This is set in the Napoleonic wars, roughly 1812.

Timeline:
1812 - Sardinia invades and successfully conquers Tuscany in a painfully short 10 week campaign, leading to much distrust of Britain, Spain, and the Papal States. Because of the annexation, the Tuscanian navy is overturned to Sardinia and increases the naval size to "small." The Papal States sign a vassalization pact with Spain and an alliance with Britain. Britain signs allainces with Spain, Sweden, and as mentioned the Papal States. Sweden and Denmark-Norway sign a Mutual Protection Pact. A desperate Russian attempt at colonizing Central Africa fails due to disease. No changes in army status have been done yet as the nations have only begun investing in their armed forces out of paranoia from Napoleonic France...
1813 - Austria invades Sardinia! Almost all of the Austrian cavalry regiments rush down through the Julian alps into the heartland of the Po Valley, Sardinia's main economical center. However, the Po river soon runs red with blood as it has in the already second war of Italian Unification, and the advance grounds to a halt along the river. Venice is encircled and remains beseiged by Austrian forces. Both nation's economies take a hit. The Russian training process is improved, but similarly at the sacrifice of the already fragile economy--the forecast is bleak as the Tsarist nation gradually slides into a deeper recession. Revolts spring up inside the Papal States as rumors circulate that they are funded by the Spanish in their attempts to annex the Papal State, by Sardinia in their wish for Italian unification, or even Austria as she charges into the disarray of conquest in the Italian peninsula. CONE [Coalition of Northern Empires] is formed by Prussia, Britain, Denmark-Norway, Sweden, the Confederation of the Rhine, and Warsaw, in an attempt to secure order on the continent. As Prussia's rise continues, the troops become well equipped as part of a drive to increase the Prussian army--as it has been said, most countries have an army, but Prussia is an army with a country.
