Ruff08 - The AI Shuffle

@Ruff: any ideas on the reilgion modifier we should use? I guess real Napoleon didn't care (I don't think he had a confession, hum he made himself emperor with the pope though), so low modifier?

Nice set. I thought we were building stonehenge? Did that get changed. No problem if it did.

Yeah, I changed it as we needed archer escorts before anything else. At least I think that's what the AI would do.

Napoleon doesn't seem to care that much so I used -1 modifier. Can be changed if someone reasons it better :)

Napoleon woke from a bad night’s sleep and a truly awful dream. He had been stuck somewhere called Sand 01 and watched his empire crumble will someone called Sid kept telling him to do completely daft things.

Well at least now he was back in charge things would be alright........
So on to the to do list
1. Must get hold of funny 3 cornered hat- despite Josephine saying it was terribly out of fashion
2. Check at the shoe shop if his high heeled boots had arrived
3. Declare war on England
4. Don’t forget to pack warm clothes for the trip to Moscow....

Actually the AI wasn’t bad and I didn’t need a Human Intervenetion... but don’t blame me for the riverside Plains Cottage.. A bigger boy told me to do it..

Settle Lyons and start on a Monument

Paris goes through logical builds with the Spear selected to satisfy every other build military rule.

Orleans again the suggestion were reasonable

Research stuck with one of the AI’s choices and stopped when complete

As far as relations went it seemed reasonable to OB with Hammurabi as we shared his religion and could trade with him

7ob1.jpg

And we agreed to Zara’s request as we didn’t dislike him

The only excitement was this and they actually went after Hammurabi not us

Got it... do we have a plan or do we follow master Sid?

Plan: Be French!

@Tryn: You shall pay for that

Be french? hum... I think I can do that ;)

All of this American attitude to France confuses me. If it wasn't for France, America would still be a colony of England.

Yeah I know, although the USA kinda paid that back with the whole World Wars thing ;). It was more a joke than a real opinion of mine. Truthfully, France has been up and down as much as the rest of Europe, depending on their leadership.

lurker: I am wondering about the number of times Stonehenge is popping up in the suggested builds, yet it still hasn't made it to the build queue, apart from just before Meiz' pseudo non-human decision to build archers instead. :p Come on, Napoleon loved culture and the arts, although I suppose he did steal alot of it during conquests. :D

Hi guys!

I wasn't able to do anything civ related today so I might have to postpone the round until tomorow after work... I hope it's OK... if not, please swap me :)

Cheers

I'm ok with a postpone.

The AI moved it's capital? I just read a thread about that and the conclusion was that this only happened very rarely, mainly due to the civ being spread over 2 land masses. Or did that swarm of Barbarian Horse Archers (how bad can an event be!!!) have something to do with it.

So, where do we put our 4th city? Boudica has taken the gold sight in the North. Do we want to wander down and take the gems site? I'm assuming that we could do with some happiness about now.

BTW: you need to build a military unit between other builds. I will put a few signs in the game to remind the players of this.

Wonder what happened on that palace change... Worst thing is that it will create a lot of culture pressure on Lyons so we really have to battle for our tiles. Looking now, it doesn't seem like a good city cite at all :) I would most definitely head for the gems and hope that Sid chooses a good site for us.

You know, I think that AI would have Fishing and Sailing at this point so maybe that's where we should head as well. Doesn't AI also love Calendar and don't we have a lot of resources that need it...? *wink wink* :D

Firstly, try and remember to build a military unit in between other builds (buildings, workers, settlers). I've put some flags in the game to try and help you remember :D.

The game was pretty straight forward with a few AIs making outragious demands ...

Roosevelt asking for horse riding
Tokugawa asking that we cancel trading with Babylon - our religious buddies!

... both demands rejected (and they get a '-1' for making demands!).

We settle Rheims on a nice little spot. It seems that the Gods favour France with some assistance. This must be a SG-transition from Fox's current game. I teched all the way to Alphabet and stopped there - here are our trade options:

ruff080278io7.jpg

We might want to self research some of those early religious techs to open up ... errr ... what am I saying, I don't know anything about future techs ...

You know, I think that AI would have Fishing and Sailing at this point so maybe that's where we should head as well. Doesn't AI also love Calendar and don't we have a lot of resources that need it...? *wink wink* :D

What is a calendar - isn't that what you use to drain rice?

We missed Stonehenge. I hate HATE!! having to build a monument to pop borders. Do we have a religion - we need to spread that for the culture pops. I feel that France needs to invest in more religion. Any suggestions?

I think the move of the babylonian palace has indeed something to do with HAs :D...
Sorry for the lack of units built during my turn... I guess it counts for my human action... I won't do it again though ;)
On techs, I like meditation so we can spread our religion, and who knows, perhaps it leads to some other nice tech (monarchy cough cough, COL cough cough cough :mischief:)
But perhaps we should go with fishing -> sailing as Meiz said...
Hopefully the AI will do us build more settlers/workers :crazyeye:

Cheers,
Raskolnikov
