I think I'm done, but I'm usually wrong
Heres the file. Edit: go to post #25 and #27 for updated version.
This is probably only going to be used for modern Era Scenarios, place in the appropriate art/cities folder.
Nice nice- already looks sweet... yet much too neat to have collapsed in war:
I agree with W.i.n.t.e.r. on this Pounder. I think you are on the right track, but less massive ruins, with more destruction would be better I think. I would aim for Berlin 1945 kind of look.
Nonetheless, thanks for the efforts.
Here is a hopefully improved version.
Tell me what you think.
Personally, I like it -- it's very evocative.
Here is the download for the post #25 preview.
much better - give us destruction
Excellent... How did I miss these
Nicely done Pounder.
It just came to me that these would be fantastic for a post-apocyliptic scenario.
Altough these ruins are very good, they can almost be mixed up with existing cities (altough the ruins don't have an size-name-information box below them)
A version with shorter buiding ruins would be good too (ruins no higher than 2 or 3 stories)
The high rise ruins are intended for more modern scenarios.
I use them in scenarios that are World War II and later.
I intend on making ruins for scenarios in other ages as well. Maybe regional as well (example: middle east, roman/greco).
Definately my favourite ruins of all time - will try them out right away
Can you make a version of your ruins with your grey craters instead of the original Firaxis craters?
Again great for BfNY!
The idea is very nice.Too bad that we can not separate old and modern ruinds!
These actually look extremely realistic! nice!
It would be nice if we could have different era ruins or different era mines. I guess there is a whole list that we could generate.
At least we can have different ruins in each scenario, the reason for the high rise ruins was for use in a more modern scenario.
I tend to put different roads, ruins and mines in different scenarios.
Are you talking about changing the craters in the download on post #2 to gray.
Separate names with a comma.
