I still like to have craters in the game from bombardment.
Just a shot to show that the ruins can be mixed, show here one of the high rise ruins mixed with 2 of the all era ruins.
If anyone wants a certain mix, let me know and I could put it together for you.

Here is another set of ruins I'm working on, these are in the Roman-Greco, could even be American I guess.
They're very nice. Could you possibly do something that's modern too,meaning keeping the striking bits, like the Temple/Oracle etc and mix them with a variety of modern building ruins, but preferably not skyscrapers and such. More average height, like a two story building ruin etc and maybe a water tower with it?
Here is an alternate, thought I would take the original firaxis citys and match the ruins to the city. I have shown the before and after circling the pairs.
Was a little bit of work, showing what is in the buildings after the roof is gone and walls fallen over.

And about those previous greco-roman ruins: if you made them smaller, they could be great goodyhuts too
Here is the download for the first set of roman ruins, these ones match the original firaxis cities.
Why is is to dark black? I would suggest the dark shade browns rather than jet black.. looks a bit odd as if were looking through the terrain...
These are made to match exactly the original Firaxis Roman cities.
They use the same palette with the same colours for everything including the shadows.
I agree that Firaxis could have used a little lighter shading.
Without reading all the posts because I am at work as I write this, I think these are great to use as resources that would be required to build a msueum or something like that.
Sure resources could be made or as aaglo said in a previous post maybe goody huts.
Here are the Ancient Roman-Greco Ruins. I have been playing with them for a while. I think they are ready to be posted.
I have shown them on both a lighter and a darker terrain set.
Now it's going to be a tough choice- do I raze (and get these graphics), or do I keep (and have an extra city)?
Pounder, mind if I convert your Greco-Roman ruins into a Barb camp for the FF mod (the Barbs in FF mod are based on the various roaming monsters one encounters in the FF series, therefore I'm using a city ruins motif for the barb camps)?
Sure, you don't have to ask, I have no problem with that. I was thinking of making some matching goody huts myself.
