True, but I dont see the union necessarily leading to extreme levels of domination. Russia only tends to get into bully domination mode when a country it thinks should be in its sphere try to get out. The fact these nations are willingly desiring to be in the Russian sphere make me think it will be more benevolent towards them and legitimately try to be helpful.

That I can agree to. The Russians have no desire of propping up foreign countries any more than they have to. The Russians are mainly worried about controlling the militaries of their near abroad.

The member states will likely have their economic freedom and even be encouraged to prosper so the Russians don't have to spend on them.

The countries trying to wiggle away from Russia will likely be faced with aggression though as we saw in Georgia and as we now see in Ukraine.
