Sana03 - Who ate the RaR scientists?

That went well :D

Except for the early, constant and maintained agressivity, anything you guys thing made this game up?

A: It was only emperor
B: A monopoly on early contacts = lots of power
C: By the time the AI could even reach our island, we were already very strong and able to dictate what happened
D: see A.

I don't think the aggression was a big reason. If we replayed this from the time we declared on the vikings, and didn't declare war on anybody, we would have had an easy histographic win, or an easy diplo/space win if the AI managed enough research. If we go from the start of the first war, and turn research back on, it could have been an entirely passive runaway SS win.

It was only emperor
 well we beat SID at RaR comfortably (though I remember some serious quarrels/discussions along the way), so emperor is not very high a difficulty at RaR.
I think the added techs/ improvements are too complex for the AI to cope with. Civ3 AI isn't really that great and more techs/builds means more strategizing and planning, something it is incapable of doing.
And guess what, this really makes me feel uneasy about Civ4 where there are more choices in terms of units/upgrades etc. Unless the AI gets really beefed up, of course.

Islands and RaR is just to much for the AI....

Game was to easy I think.... But nice to finish a RaR game for a change (had not done that before).

The AI simply is not smart enough mostly, I think, to sell off obsoleet buildings (that does not exist in Civ itself). It will keep worker housing till the end (if build at all) This builds up.

Also its building prio's are screwed in RaR (building a pioneer for ever while stuck on pop 2)

Anyway I thought it was a fun game.... Tho I felt like a right noob at times...

Well, actually the AI is the only thing I am really looking forward to with CIV 4.
Users will be able to skript their own AIs, and knowing the civ modders, there will surly be terrific AIs.
