Saudi King Abdullah Dies, New Ruler is Salman

Just one question to you, Paul: how come you are in Saudi but i can already hear the crickets chirping all the way from here? :p

Thank you for the cite. I did not know that (as Johnny Carson used to say).

We do not have crickets here.

As for why I am here, we are fighting a war on terror. I like to think I am a well-compensated fighter. I am an English teacher and an changing this place one student at a time.

How many people down the line of succession before the heir is younger than Joe Biden?

The current crown prince is three years younger. But when he takes over he'll probably be a few years older than now. With the current state of affairs, perhaps Saudi will never have a king under 70 years old.

In 2007 an "Allegiance Council" was created, comprising King Abdulaziz's surviving sons plus a son of each his deceased sons, to determine which member of the royal family will be the heir apparent (the Crown Prince) after Prince Muqrin, who is the current Crown Prince, either dies or accedes to the throne

So since 2007 the crown Prince is not determined by inheritance but elected by a council which's membership is determined by inheritance.

That's not really fair. It's kind of like comparing Bulgaria to Belarus and Ukraine, a satellite and a country currently being invaded (or liberated, depending on your opinion piece).

It's just two whole different worlds.

HDI says Saudi Arabia works better than Bulgaria as well. Though life styles certainly different.

Just by the way, the English-language radio station just switched back to its normal programing.

Also, I have been asking around. Nobody around here knows nothin' 'bout no crucifixions.

I guess they'll have to buy their weapons from Belgium now.

Can't they buy weapons from the most loved country in the Middle East? It would be a win-win for everyone!

That would mean they'd fund the Zionist conspiracy, and no real Muslim would do that.

Islam is part of the Zionist conspiracy. Netanyahu has the power to shut down all of Islam with the press of a single button!

He's struggling killing some Arabs in Palestine, apparently.

Oh, how have the mighty fallen!

Oh, don't worry, they aren't really people. Just androids used for training exercises.

Now corporations, they are people! Nowadays, these are actually more human than the humans themselves though.

Sure, if you own employ 10 million people, it's rather obvious you'll become more human than most humans.
