Just to mention it so you guys out there will know it from now on. Harald Hairfair may have "united" Norway, but in these days Norway were a term used for only the southern part of Norway. Up north laid the reign of Ladejarlen, which centered itself in Trondheim and consisted of todays Trøndelag and Nordland. Also the small state of the Mørejarl were still ruled by itself. And north of the Trønderjarls realm were the sami nomads. Said in another way, all Hairfair ever ruled were some earlier Danish vassals in the south, in that era called Norway

when it comes to the vikings it`s important to realise that the normanneres were exactly that; nordmen from "one nordman". That`s what norwegians call themselves.

the vikings ruled north europe from Morscow to Rome, or more precisely Sicily. Had ten "tradingposts" in Africa aso. Netherland(Holland) was kind of an big old viking tradingpost too. (that`s why it was called Nedtherland; the land below(us))

Nik Naks, hi I have read this thread rather belatedly (admittedly) and it sounds very interesting. Are you still considering doing this mod and if so can a rookie 3d person help? (namely me??). I made some Scottish units on the renaissance download forum.

Also cant believe nothing like this has been made and judging by some of your other stuff sure it would be excellent. Not to mention your a fellow Brit, there don't seem to be many of us on the forums? Has it been made already and have I missed noticing it?
