That map is HUGE! I thought it would be a bit smaller... Also, are you sure you need al of Japan? Wouldn't a little island be enough (for the UN/US forces)? I hope your not making another too-large-to-play scenario (as too many are)

Its not that big is it?

I was wondering about reducing the size of japan, but instead I don't think you should cover it in cities. Only the Big important ones like Tokyo, Hiroshima, Edo, Yokohama, and such. Same thing with manchuria. Put in cities like Mukden, Harbin, Darien/Dalien, and Andong, but not every little village.

I'd like to keep the city count well below the 512 whatever city limit. Well below, so that cities aren't automatically razed on capture by the AI.

See, the problem with a smaller map is that I don't want the Korean Penisula to be any smaller than it is.

OK, how about the culture in the towns? I'd suggest 10 000 or something, so that the border's would consume more land. Also, I presume that retain culture on capture will be checked?

Leave the Culture to me.

It begins on Week 31, 1950.. I have yet to calculate aand set it to the correct date.

Paasky, any news on the map?

I did most of the South Korean Cities, although the map didn't look like my map I think they're at the correct places. I'll make the N-Korean Cities now. It is a big map though...
I've been occupied for a while but I do what I can.

Thanks, Paasky!

Just to let ya'all all know I've been busting my ARSE on a Tech tree all day. You'll have a preview soon.

I don't want to give any unkept promises so here's what I've done so far. It's not much but I'm just not that keen on civ (except for quickies on tiny maps). The Incredible Machine is THE game right now :D

Thanks, Paasky.

Different is spelled wrong in your Tip of the week :D

Anyway, I've got the Tech Tree DONE! Its only Single Era.. I decide that that would work best. Its real neat and innovative: I'll tel lyou more about it when I enter it into the computer.

TADA! The TECH TREE!

As you can see, it is split into four "Mini-Eras'. To Adanced to the next 'Mini Era' you have to research the four technoliges that don't have the Pink X's on them. Also, while most tech trees go from left to right, this goes from bottom to top. Pretty Clever, huh.

1st Tech Level

Basic Infrastructure: The Lowest level of Non-military development. This allows for the Construction of Infrastructure One and some other basic things, including the basic Infantry unit. Some resources come with this, too, as does the Peasant Worker.
Defensive Tactics: This is where you get your Machine gun units.
Air Combat: Basic Air units (F-51s, Yak-9s La-9s), Resources, and the Airbase building.
Assault Infantry: Barracks, as well as your Assualt Infantry.
Naval Tactics: Destroyers, Transports, and naval facilities.
Infantry Artillery: Mortars for everybody and Recoiless Rifles for the Allies.
Mobile Warfare: Armored Cars

2nd Tech Level

Light Infrastructure: Infrastructure 2, some more resources, the Laborer (Worker Upgrade).
Air Defense: AA units and buildings.
The Jet Engine: MiG-15, F-80
Aireal Bombardment: B-26 Intruder, Tu-2
Amphibious Assualt: Marines
Naval Warfare: Submarines, Shore Battery Improvement. Allies get Escort carriers and F-4u Corsair.
Light Artillery: Light Artillery Pieces and field guns.
Armored Warfare: Heavy Armored Cars/Light Tanks
Mobile Artillery: Self Proplelled Guns.

3rd Tech Level

Heavy Infrastructure: Infrastructure 3, more resources, Rail Roads, Field Headquarters (Forbidden Palace).
Advanced Jet Engine: F-86 Sabre, MiG-15bis
Strategic Bombing: B-29 for Americans, Strategic (perscision) Bombing for B-29, B-26, and Tu-2
Air Power: Il-10, 4-84E Thunderjet, AD Sky Raider.
Vertical Flight: Transport Helicopters.
Special Operations: A Special Infantry unit for each side. Royal Marine Commandos for U.N., Anti-Vehicle Rifle for North Korea, Shock Infantry for China, and.. soemthing for South Korea.
Naval Power: Cruisers
Special Naval Tactics: A Special Sea Unit. For the U.N. it is the Perch Transport submarine. No Idea for anyone else.
Naval Aviation: Fleet Carriers, F9F Panthers, F2 H-2 Banshees.
Heavy Artillery: Heavy Artillery pieces like the Long Tom
Armored Tactics: T-34, Medium tanks.

4th Tech Level

Advanced Infrastructure: Engineer Unit, Highest level ressources.
Special Munitions: Napalm Bombs and Propganda Leaflets drops.
Peace Talks: Panmujon Confrence Small Wonder. Reduces War Weariness.
Naval Dominace: Battleships.
Heavy Armor: Heavy Tanks.

Wow. Nobody cares. Thats real cool. Real Cool, guys.

Hey, I liked it. I'm just not very well versed in the subject to make any comments of historic nature.
But I specially like the Battleships being the ultimate naval weapon :)

Thank you, Holy Emperor.

Now, If I manage to flavor this how I want to, only the UN will have battleships untill the End Game.
