SCH0001 - Learning FFH

Turn 270-280: Preparations

I have decided on getting a map from Ethne for our map + cash. After all, I want to know where to attack rather than flying blind, and it helps in getting circumnavigation (There IS a circumnavigation bonus, right???) One turn later, there indeed turns out to be a circumnavigation bonus as my ships get the +1 movement bonus.

Magnadine gets a bit of training at the barbarian city south of Myrean, killing 2 orc warriors. I raze it. Whatever, it was not very useful anyway. At least, before Smelting came in... it turns out there's iron in the vicinity there! We now also have goblin workers. Nice, a multicultural empire. ;)

As soon as the Hippodrome in Feiss Mabdon finished I got the best Horsemen over there and upgraded them to War Chariots. Whoa, those kick ass. 13 base attack strength without even counting one promotion (and we have 100% strength, anti-melee bonuses, and first strikes!)

Techwise, I've finished Astronomy and Smelting, and have started on Iron Working. OB has been signed with Flauros, Cassiel and Ethne because we are the only one to reap the profits from that.

Several more ships are built and bought in the western harbours, and on turn 276 a fleet of 5 caravels with Magnadine, 3 War Chariots, 5 Horse Archers and 3 Horsemen on board. My apologies, I hurried the troops aboard a bit and was lazy in promoting them. Doesn't matter much until the Elohim anyway, since Magnadine and the War Chariots will likely rip them apart anyway, and reinforcements can be teleported in from Dis. How about 1 extra Horse Archer every day without the slightest effort of getting ships?

To Schwartz, or Cheshire if he comes back: The army is literally on Cassiel's doorstep. It should be enough to deal with at least Cassiel and Flauros, and there's time to get reinforcements for the final battle against Ethne.Have Fun. :D

To Krick: You will definitely get to war. I suppose this was my last turnset for this game. ;)

Allllright, looking forward to some mopup.

Krick19
Quotey
Groogaroo
PaulusIII -> Just played.
Cheshiremythos -> MIA? Waiting 24 hrs for got it.

Groogaroo and Quotey, if you have time, it would be splendid to have you in on SCH0002, we are currently planning it in the bullpen thread ("Schwartz' FFH Series").
I will probably be up and running in a couple of days.

Nice going Paulus! Looks like we both might miss out on the big final bloodbath! I'm not sure I'm going to get another set in this game either.

@Diamondeye

Okay, I'm not 100% sure whether I'm going to play in the next SG, It's been great playing this game with everyone and learning the ins and outs of this mod, but I'm wondering if playing FfH is making my Civ BTS game suffer a bit? Learning FfH is like learning a whole new game :crazyeye:

Well... when you put the game up we'll see what happens. :)

I find original BTS to be boring after playing RFC and FFH...

And no, Groo, you're not getting another set if it hits me... :)

280:
Nothing left to do but hit enter.

281:
It's on! Declare war on Cassiel.

282:
Fight at Kalm we win 3 fights flawless.
We ALSO take Midgar to the north AND Edge in the northeast this turn.
I kept Kalm and Midgar to give us some extra healing/dropoff points if we ever need them.

286:
We're healed so declare on Flauros.

287:
Adonias and Acaia razed.

288:
Prespur and Pavu'nar razed.
Somehow Magnadine almost dies to a Moroi

289:
Raze Nubia. Also discovered a bug that Cassiel was still "alive" and he appeared in the scoreboard. (He was ruining us with WW, but I didn't realize) So I signed "peace" and all of a sudden he's gone.

290:
Raze San'tar'on (sp?) and Flauros is done.

This leaves Ethne for Krick. Don't forget that we still have the world spell. Magnadine is healing up in one of those former Grigori cities that I kept (Kalm, I think.)

So this is pretty much wrapped up, Go Krick.

:)

DUN DUN DUN. I will use Warcry.

290:

Nothing to do, the silence will not last long.

291:

Start HAs/Cats in some cities.

I suppose I really should wait before warring, but I'm a bit bored. War it is!

Hi Ethne!

299:
Baby steps. One more.

300:

I KNOW my set is over, but it'll be only a few turns, so I'd like to finish up.

I encountered the same bug as Schwartz, and Ethne was still in the diplo thing. I check the settings, no complete kills. A bit strange, but I press next turn and...
