PaulusIII
Unholy Warlord
Turn 270-280: Preparations
I have decided on getting a map from Ethne for our map + cash. After all, I want to know where to attack rather than flying blind, and it helps in getting circumnavigation (There IS a circumnavigation bonus, right???) One turn later, there indeed turns out to be a circumnavigation bonus as my ships get the +1 movement bonus.
Magnadine gets a bit of training at the barbarian city south of Myrean, killing 2 orc warriors. I raze it. Whatever, it was not very useful anyway. At least, before Smelting came in... it turns out there's iron in the vicinity there! We now also have goblin workers. Nice, a multicultural empire.
As soon as the Hippodrome in Feiss Mabdon finished I got the best Horsemen over there and upgraded them to War Chariots. Whoa, those kick ass. 13 base attack strength without even counting one promotion (and we have 100% strength, anti-melee bonuses, and first strikes!)
Techwise, I've finished Astronomy and Smelting, and have started on Iron Working. OB has been signed with Flauros, Cassiel and Ethne because we are the only one to reap the profits from that.
Several more ships are built and bought in the western harbours, and on turn 276 a fleet of 5 caravels with Magnadine, 3 War Chariots, 5 Horse Archers and 3 Horsemen on board. My apologies, I hurried the troops aboard a bit and was lazy in promoting them. Doesn't matter much until the Elohim anyway, since Magnadine and the War Chariots will likely rip them apart anyway, and reinforcements can be teleported in from Dis. How about 1 extra Horse Archer every day without the slightest effort of getting ships?
To Schwartz, or Cheshire if he comes back: The army is literally on Cassiel's doorstep. It should be enough to deal with at least Cassiel and Flauros, and there's time to get reinforcements for the final battle against Ethne.Have Fun.
To Krick: You will definitely get to war. I suppose this was my last turnset for this game.
