New: Left. Old: Right.

Teddy Roosevelt has been slimmed down. As I said in the Scythia thread, it's quite an improvement in my opinion. It isn't too too drastic, but it means that Firaxis isn't opposed to making changes and tweaks to Civ 6's aesthetics (this one was probably due to the negative reaction of how fat they made him originally).

It's a good change, but looking back at it the old version doesn't look as bad as I originally was thinking (when you view the full character instead of just the head).

Did anyone notice this update to the U.I. in the Scythia first look?

There is a policy that reduces unit maintenance by 1 gold.

No, they said that they would cost maintenance but one early preview article said that they wouldn't.

Building maintenance was simply said to be "less constraining".

I remember someone saying that early units and buildings cost little to no maintenance, but as you progress through the eras they steadily become more expensive. I'm not 100% on that though

I have a feeling they intentionally sneak those changes and they read these forums to see the reaction and decide to keep it or not.

I want solid borders, that are not too linear. Please and thank you :)
I liked the suggestion that the dashed borders indicated whether they were open or not, but I don't think we've seen any actual footage from the build with the dashed border to confirm whether that was the case. Also there were some speculation about closed borders not being a thing until later in the game, but from the build we saw in the august-3 videos, that was not the case.

Yeah, I saw it!

The new graphics are beautiful, but less clear. They should display the symbols somewhere, because isn't that what's used on the map? Easier to recognize.

Personally, I'd rather the artwork only be used in the Civilopedia because it isn't clear, but I'm sure I'll get used to the art soon enough so whatever.
