Screenshots: The Subtle Informant

Fitchn:
Christian Cathedral can provide +2 hammers [1:47]

* Note: Buddhist Stupa does NOT have this bonus [1:49]; perhaps this is a bonus from another wonder or the AP...!?!

If a civ is a full voting memeber of the Apostolic Palace - if a civ has adopted the appropriate state religion and has not ignored a passed resolution - then it recieves production bonuses from all buildings related to its state religion.

If the forest preserve were a new improvement, I reckon it'd be one that adds commerce to a tile instead of hammers.

EDIT just realised sluglord made exactly the same guess in another thread - no intention to steal his idea

NP, apparently great [PieceOf]Minds think alike!

Hopefully this will encourage the game to make more sensible decisions regarding which religious buildings to build. It always confused me that it would suggest I build a monastery/temple/cathedral from a non-state religion when the state religion equivalent was a more obvious choice (especially when I was building the spiral minaret).

not sure if this is new, but in the lower right corner of the normal map screen, where the other countries and their religions are listed:

there's a silhouette of a trench coat spy. Presumably to indicate if your spy network has infiltrated that country.

I bet you just learned how the GameSpy logo looks. ;)

I'm not a big warmonger, so I don't know my promotions very well, but I don't recall seeing this one before.

it's the new range promotion:

it's an air promotion but also sam infantry and mobile sam can receive it (normal range for mobile sam is 1 but with range promotion (see picture) it is 2)

SAM Infantry:

18 Strengths, 1 Movement, 1 Range
* Can Intercept Aircraft (40% Chance)
* +75% vs. Helicopter Unit (was +50% in Warlords)

(can receive Range Promotion)

Mobile SAM:

22 Strengths, 2 Movement, 1 Range
* Can Intercept Aircrafts (50% Chance)
* +50% vs. Helicopter Units

(can receive Range Promotion)

Here is a clip from my own game

BTSOldWalls.JPG

I cut the following clip from a screenshot at computerandvideogames.com
Does it have new wall graphics?

BTSNewWalls.JPG

I noticed this in another screenshot some time ago, thought to myself "I must remember to mention that", but then never did.
Now, here they are again.
I guess it could be part of a scenario, but I just don't remember seeing round turrets on city walls (or Duns) in Warlords, just the square ones.
Has anyone else seen these walls before?

These walls shipped with the Warlords scenario's. It seems they use them again in some BtS scenario's.

I very rarely play scenarios more than a couple of times so I would not have remembered that.
Thank You.

Those looking for interesting features revealed by screenshots should check out this thread started by rishubhav.

I won't steal his thunder (read the thread!), but if the find is confirmed in the epic game it will be a very hot topic.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but what are those lines in two of the shots? It's in that ranged attack mode scenario screenshot, but it's also in the airship screenshot (both pics are below). Allbeit one is a scenario, but the other one isn't.

That's really strange, because in the City Defense screenshot, the lines extend far further at the top left of the map. There doesn't appear to be any unit up there that warrant such lines. Maybe there's something else up there off screen or something.

Line of sight.
1 tile into forest, 2 tiles over grassland, 3 tiles to a mountain.
